Ninja Tune have recently reported that their illustrious artist, Amon Tobin has unfortunately had his new album ‘ISAM’ leaked via the internet. In their press release they state “some people just don’t get it, we know these things happen, and we know that not everyone realises how much is invested in ambitious, groundbreaking tours, collaborations with brilliant artists and lovingly designed packaging… It still hurts”. The long anticipated album has had much investment from one of the worlds leading independent labels and to have the rug pulled from under their feet like this is a harsh blow to take. To counteract some of the effect of the leaked album, Ninja Tune have brought forward the date of the digital release which is now available in all good online stores.
Despite this dampener, the remarkable campaign continues with an art installation scheduled to celebrate the release of ‘ISAM’. The electronic artist has come together with highly respected Saatchi Collection artist Tessa Farmer on a revolutionary, collaborative installation. ‘Amon Tobin & Tessa Farmer present: ISAM: Control Over Nature’ which will combine the sound design elements and design of the album, alongside Farmer’s trademark sculptures (constructed from bits of organic material, such as roots, dead insects and bones).
The installation will be held 26th May – 5th June (11am – 5pm everyday) Crypt Gallery, below St Pancras Church, Euston Road, London, NW1 2BA.
Amon Tobin will bring his Audio-Visual show “ISAM: Live” to the following venues, with many more to be announced…
1st June – Mutek, Montreal
9th June – Astra, Berlin
10th June – AB, Brussels
17th June – Roundhouse, London
