Ableton has released a free update – Live 9.6 – which includes the addition of Link and changes for the Push controller.
The most exciting new addition to 9.6 is Link, which allows different live users to play together simultaneously when using the same wireless network, possibly the most revolutionary step in electronic music connectivity since MIDI was introduced 32 years ago. Ableton has designed Link so it can be built into any software, including iOS apps.
The 9.6 release also includes improved responsiveness for the new Push controller and adds control surface support for devices such as the Alesis VX controllers and Arturia’s Keylab series.
