YouTube Sessions: Moxie

You may not know her by name, but there’s a good chance Moxie’s voice will ring familiar. A presence on NTS since its inception, her Wednesday show has seen her interview guests as varied as Jeff Mills, Kyle Hall and Kowton, she’s also made it on to the airwaves thanks to a tenure on Radio 1’s In New DJ’s We Trust and prior stints on Rinse and KISS. Intriguingly her dulcet tones have also featured on the BBC’s coverage of this year’s the Sochi Winter Olympics.

As well as hosting these myriad radio shows, Moxie is also a dab hand on the 1’s and 2’s, with her skills on the decks earning her sets all over the UK and around the world. Clearly a woman with a lot on her plate, Moxie took time out of her busy schedule to supply us with this week’s YouTube Sessions. Drawing from her wide musical knowledge she treats us to MPC evangelism from Moodymann, Dubstep docs from the BBC and vintage Westwood footage. Garnishing this with a nice helping of cats in costume and awe inspiring aquariums, her selection is a nice way to ease into the weekend…
