This Saturday (May 28) sees the Black Atlantic collective return to the fray after their massive weekender at the front end of May.
Concentrating their mammoth parties at bespoke warehouse spaces throughout the capital, the collective have brought a wealth of talent to London over the past few months, with past guests including Juan Atkins, Mala, DMX Krew, Modeselektor and Doc Daneeka.
Having set a new template for innovative underground electronic events, the crew return this weekend with one of their finest bookings to date. Legendary Detroit house/soul man Kenny Dixon Jr. AKA Moodymann will rep his dadaist take on modern black music, whilst one the UK’s out and out biggest new talents Joy Orbison will be joining the dots between classic house, 4×4 and garage. Support comes from rapidly rising Super Recordings producer PhOtOmachine, and we have 2 pairs of tickets to giveaway to the first Hyponik readers who can answer the following question:
On which label was Moodymann’s 1997 debut album ‘Silentintroduction’ released?
**The event will NOT be held at the Citipost Building, as we previously reported. All ticket buyers will receive an email on Friday 27 detailing the venue for Black Atlantic, or alternatively keep your eyes on the Black Atlantic Twitter and Facebook pages.
