Moiré’s new EP for Ghostly’s Spectral Sound imprint is out now.
Moiré has been one to watch for a while now. Having first emerged with his 2013 debut EP Never Sleep on Actress’s Werkdiscs label, the London-based producer has since built on a sound that harbours immense detail, equally suited to the dancefloor and headphone listening – with further releases on Werkdiscs, as well as last year’s Gel EP on R&S. A versatile DJ too, you can check his skills with this recent after-party mix for oki-ni.
His latest EP, Lines + Colours, finds him on Ghostly International’s Spectral Sound, with four tracks that contain some of his most tense and texturally intricate music to date. Today we premiere the video of the EP’s title track, which clocks in at over ten minutes, and takes on a stuttering drive through a near deserted city, as chaotic bleeps and acid malfunctions loop alongside it. Feast your eyes below, and then dive into Moiré’s YouTube Session from 2014.
Lines + Colours is out now and can be purchased on Ghostly’s website.
