Long in the works, Italian producer Natlek’s album Graduation Burnout is out today. His tracks have been supported heavily by the likes of Monki and Teki Latex, and this hard-edged collection is sure to raise his profile even more.
Natlek is big on connections and collaborations, so stay tuned for a remix package featuring the likes of Inkke, TD_Nasty and Lorenzo BITW. Anyway, the track we’ve chosen to premiere today is a team-up with Eternal Entropy – a duo who, like Natlek, hail from the city of Ferrara.
Closing out the record, ‘Street Cinema’ is also a bit of an outlier – a stomping yet pensive slice of colourful techno, nestled in after nearly 50 minutes of serrated club weapons. While Natlek’s penchant for scene-setting vocal stabs is still present and correct, here he dials down the intensity, and drapes soft F-Zero synths over thumping kicks and funky bass.
If the rest of the album is all screeching tyres and the smell of hot rubber, ‘Street Cinema’ is a frictionless glide down the home straight and across the finish line. Stream it below:
