The Exit Records head honcho reworks a 2015 gem.
Sonic maestro Synkro released the atmospheric Changes LP last year on his regular home of R&S sub-label Apollo. It was a refreshing change in direction for the Manchester producer, as he told Hyponik around that time, and was perhaps his most melodic, and most affecting, work to date.
On July 15 Apollo will release four remixes from the album, courtesy of producers handpicked by Synkro – including Legowelt, Helios and Sven Weisemann. Today we’re giving you drum and bass icon and Exit Records boss dBridge’s take on breathy album cut ‘Body Close’.
It’s a brooding, cavernous number, and sees dBridge carving out a serious amount of space in comparison to the original. Lyves’ vocal wails glide over each drum hit with increasing weight, before the whole track drifts away into the distance. Lose yourself below.
Synkro’s Changes Remix EP is out July 15 on Apollo. Pre-order it here.
dBridge plays Farr Festival, 14-16 July at Bygrave Woods, Hertfordshire. Tickets here.
