Barely Legal has earned a reputation as an adept selector, weaving through a multitude of styles in her sets at the likes of fabric and The Warehouse Project, across BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM, and a number of major festivals.
She’s now channelling her tastemaker status into a new label venture, Pretty Weird Records, which extends her exploration of UK dance music’s many forms.
The label’s first release comes in the form of the Static EP from new Bristol based producer, Near, who gifts us three driving club tracks. The EP also features remixes from Critical and 50 Weapons affiliated producer Sam Binga and Nervous Horizon co-head TSVI.
Ahead of release this Friday, you can stream TSVI’s remix of EP track ‘Static’ below – a drum-heavy club workout primed for after-hours.
Static EP is out May 26 on Pretty Weird Records. Grab it here.
