First Listen: Life’s Track – ‘It Fell Down’ EP (Bosconi)

Hear an exclusive stream of Life’s Track’s brand new EP.

The Italian duo are about to have their second release on Bosconi Records, and you can preview each of the tracks below. Life’s Track is made up of Herva (Herve Atsè Corti) and Dukwa (Marco D’Aquino). Both artists have had impressive individual releases this year – Dukwa’s ‘Tools Part1’ was released on Bosconi a couple of months ago, and Herva had his ‘Instant Broadcast’ LP out on Delsin (which he discussed with us song-by-song earlier this month).

The ‘It Fell Down’ EP is described as ‘four burning tracks dense of special effects, sound manipulations through tape distortions and pyrotechnic structures’. If that press release doesn’t sound intriguing enough, then check out this promo video of some cockerels walking around to a section of the title track. ‘It Fell Down’ begins with a misleading Disco sample, before crashing into thumping Ghetto kicks. ‘Come On’ does away with the melodic facade, tripping itself up under clumsy delays. ‘Rescue Me’ adds an acidic analogue touch,  while ‘Sometimes They Come Back’ closes the EP through swelling pads that slowly glitch to a halt, to round off a rich four tr collection.

The ‘It Fell Down’ EP is out on Bosconi 1st October. You can pre-oder it via Juno.
