Since 2009, Berlin resident Johannes Paluka’s, better known as deep house producer Iron Curtis, has been quietly releasing subtly detailed micro-masterpieces on a respectable assortment of boutique labels.
From Mirau to Sudden Drop and Hud Traxx, Iron Curtis’ latest adventure follows a shared EP with Terrence Dixon, and sees the Nuremberg born musician make his proper debut on Frankfurt’s Polytone Recordings.
Across four tacks, Curtis’ cosmic textures and subtle melodies aim both at the floor and more ambient affairs.
Today we’re premiering title cut ‘Unwind’, a slick house roller that steadily unravels into more dreamy territory through bleeps, twisted vocal play and cloudy pads.
The Unwind EP is out February 8 on Polytone Recordings. Pre-order it here.
