Hypercolour head Alex Jones teams up with two of the label’s fastest-rising prodigies on new single ‘Just Happening’.
The vocals of Winchester-based singer/producer J.Wiltshire add an anthemic gloss to the sharp pulse born out of this new collaboration. Jones, one of two Hypercolour bosses, lends his experienced ear to Bareskin‘s fresh and enlessly creative style resulting in some typically feel-good house.
Wiltshire is hidden behind full-bodied synths and clean kicks in the opening parts, but following the midway breakdown, emerges to lead the track in a new direction. The full track is an eight-and-a-half minute trip through uplifiting chords and stripped-back percussion that holds its own as a single, succeeding music by the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Tom Demac and Last Magpie on the testing grounds of Hypercolour’s digital arm.
‘Just Happening’ will be released by Hypercolour on April 15.
