For the Seventh release on Bobby Donny’s label, the Dutch wizard (aka Frits Wentink) calls up Low End Activist and the resurrected Trim, for a pulsating and disjointed EP. Low End Activist takes from his 15 years experience to infuse contrasting influences from his time spent in Berlin, Bristol and Brighton.
Joining the German producer, is London grime MC Trim. Trim’s 2016 release on James Blake’s 1-800 Dinosaur resurrected his ability back into the ever rising grime scene and that talent can be clearly heard throughout the track ‘Park End’.
With the original and two atmospheric remixes, we have decided to put light on and premiere Cassius Select’s deeply dark rework. The Australian producer merges sizzling white noise with droning tones to form a atmospheric and apocalyptic build up. This assembling build up quickly cuts in to an intense pulsation of sinking bass and allows a basis layer for Trim’s vocals to cut through. Cassius Select not only reworks the track but reforms ‘Park End’ into a broken and alienated two-step mover.
The Park End EP is out on November 17 on Bobby Donny Records. Pre Order it here.
