First Listen: Alis – ‘Apache EP’ (Fifth Wall)

Hear an exclusive full stream of the new EP from Berlin via London Producer Alis…

After releases on Don’t Be Afraid and Astro:Dynamics, as well as a contribution to Hound Scales’ and Divvorce’s  Fifth Wall Imprint’s No Person is an Island V/A charity compilation, Sabina Plamenova (formerly known as Subeena) has returned to the Brooklyn based label as Alis with the ‘Apache’ EP.

The A-side of the record is home to her two original productions, ‘Apache’ is a gusty journey through Techno, it’s built to make big rooms pulsate. ‘Modus’ takes a more upfront approach, jumping straight into battle-mode with an Acid bass-line and claps that could knock you to the floor.

The B-side features two powerful re-interpretations of ‘Apache’ one from Brooklyn based beat-smith Ital and the other from label mate Matrixxman. Each taking their own direction, they help form a well rounded EP that is varied and most-definitely interesting overall.

The Apache EP is out now digitally via Fifth Wall with Vinyl copies in stores for the 28th. Buy it here.
