Everybody In The Place: An Oral History of British Dance Music Culture

Following its launch on NTS Radio, Part 1 (episodes 1-4) of our new radio documentary series has now been archived online.

Entitled ‘Everybody In The Place: An Oral History of British Dance Music Culture’, the documentary will explore many different facets of British Dance music’s evolution over a period ranging from the late 1960s to the present day, through interviews with key players in various scenes, archived recordings and seminal music from each period. The series is hosted by Moxie, a mainstay on NTS and a member of BBC Radio 1’s Residency Show.

Featuring a look at the first pirate radio stations, the M25 illegal parties, Northern Soul, Acid House, Jungle, Grime, Dubstep and contemporary online radio stations, the series aims to provide insight, context and anecdotes on pivotal moments in the not only interviewees’ careers but also British Dance music culture as a whole.
