Two pioneers come together for a night to remember at Corsica Studios. Big beat and eclectic titan Skint Records take on garage trailblazers, Ice Cream Records to curate a unique party with sets provided by legends from every corner of the dance music industry.
Ashley Beedle of X-Press 2 fame takes centre stage for Skint after the release of the great “Yardism EP” on Toddla T’s Girls Music, and in anticipation of his first official re-edit album, something we all know Ashley all too well for. As a true originator of early game-changing UK house music and as a world renowned DJ the man needs no introduction.
Exclusively for the Ice Cream vs Skint event, Double 99 will perform a two hour DJ set, taking you on a musical journey through UK Garage & House. Double 99 have performed all over the world at venues such as Pacha – Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, Cream, Glastonbury and the Miami WMC and now bring that sound back with a dj extravaganza…not to be missed!
Support comes from long-term Skint associate Thomas Gandey aka Caged Baby. Thomas returns to London fresh off the back of his huge collab with Maxxi Soundystem.
Expect the special guest slot from someone very closely linked with the two labels, all to be revealed.
We take over Room. 2 with the Skint & Ice Cream front line, lead by none other than Skint’s very own Andy Mac who A&R’d through the peak of Big Beat sourcing releases from Norman Cook to Wildchild and back again. The call of duty brings in London resident Temple, Brighton’s finest Murder He Wrote and Ice Cream showcase their residents.
