►KRAZY BALDHEAD- (ED BANGER)- the project of French composer Pierre-Antoine Grison, crafted the EP Sweet Night (2009) and the B-Suite (Ed Banger- 2009), a 48- minute dance jam a la Justice and Ed Banger. Recent release “The Noise in the Sky” mixes electropop, 70’s jazz and Motown Funk lending a deeper touch to the ear. Dominating the French electro scene under Ed Banger Records, this EP is any and everything but your typical Top 40.This time around, Krazy Baldhead features tracks extending from the smooth electronic bass of Slow Motion,to the strong reverberant drum patterns, boarding the line of dub-step in Amplifried and the album titled song, Holding true to his title as one of Ed Banger’s most accomplished musicians, Krazy Baldhead’s previous career as an engineer now remains in history. From buying his first machines in 1998, to the ten years he spent at the Conservatory perfecting his skill with electronic instruments, to his first debut album The B-Suite, Krazy Baldhead continues to deliver in this assorted gem, ‘The Noise in the Sky’.
► JERRY BOUTHIER- Jerry Bouthier is a Paris-born but London-based DJ and producer. He’s resident DJ for Kitsuné parties held at both ends of the Eurostar; playing a mix of indie, electro, rock and pop, whilst avoiding the big obvious ‘mash up’ tunes so often relied on in nights of this genre and creating something decidedly more original. His sound is perfectly showcased on Kitsune’s BoomBox CD that came out last year – tracks from Rex The Dog and Headman sitting alongside Feist and The Young Punks, many remixed by Jerry himself with production partner Andrea Gorgerino, under the name JBAG.
► FIGURES- Figures are a london-based production duo who formed in 2011. They create atmospheric low-tempo electronic house music using analogue equipment. Described as “one of the coolest surprises in instrumental music of the year” by Big Stereo. Expect big things this year.
► BOX OF GHOSTS- “Box Of Ghosts are a collective of 5 minds connected by the love of sound. Strangers from different parts of London attracted by an ambition and a taste for good noise, dark images and a movement for change…”
►STARPUNK- is an Electronic Band from the roots of Georgia. Formed by Alex and Lasha, two young producers with different backgrounds and influences. Having already done official remixes for NOISIA and ZOMBIE NATION, their crafted tracks his production skills are a bruising muscular injection of amphetamines and strickning with a single jab.
►PHOTOMATIC- London based Marc dos Santos David brings us a dynamic twist of genres, fusing Techno, alternative rock, funk and new wave with gritty bass lines, classical melodies and rap. Being deeply rooted in Jazz, playing in several funk-rock bands Marc is also a full time composer with dance, theatre, film and installation projects
►DAN MCKIE- Dan McKie manages to defy the cliché of genres by producing across the board, be it a underground techno, tech house monster to a peak time commercial dance chart track.
He continues to remix the likes of The Whip, Stonebridge, Rogue Elements, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Lady GaGa, David Guetta, Colton Ford, Zimbardo, Dom Kane. As well as remix he also releases on such labels as Southern Fried, Stoney Boy, Joia, Positiva, Warner Bros, Sony, Universal, Columbia, Gusto, EMI, Newstate, RCA/BMG, Simply Recordings, Slip & Slide, aswell as his own imprints 1980 Recordings & HotFridge Records.
► OBEY! Obey! started in 2010 with Josh Torrent and Léonard B. After touring quite a bit with their metal band in Paris, they moved to London and decided to inject their Live energy into a new electronic project : Obey! From French Electro to Uk Dubstep, Obey! is bashing through different styles and tempos. They create a sound that blasts the speakers but stays incredibly dancy. Between Josh’s powerful drumming and Leonard B.’s crazy mashups and samples, Obey! live literally brings hell on earth. Once you’ve tasted it, you can’t go back.
►PUNX SOUNDCHECK- The partnership of John Taylor and Arif Salih brings together the music that shaped them and the music that’s shaping their future, traversing disco and house, reggae and dubstep, electro and (old) rave, all the while sounding effortless and elegantly modern.
►O-ARC- Recently Japanese sub cultures have become world wide phenomenon: cosply, anime, manga….They are the products of blending Japanese and Western pop culture. O-ARC’s music is created from the coming together of these two cultures but in a totally different way. Their first album “en” is highly original, poetic, atmospheric, meditative and in a way even therapeutic: healing. One of O-ARC’s admirers is Sean O’Hagan from High Llamas.
“These songs defy definition but are the sound of two artists in control of their destiny. Quite wonderful.”
Sean O’Hagan (High Llamas)
O-ARC is the creative collaboration between Masa Iida, singer/songwriter from Yokohama, Japan and London-born guitarist & co-writer Neil Mason. First meeting at a regular music night in Camden Town in 1999, since then they have formed a musical bond like no other. Masa and Neil discovered an affinity for minimalism, subtlety and the power of understatement. Their gigs have included ICA London, Tate Britain, Whitechapel Gallery, Comme des Garcons Boutique in Dover Street Market, and Art Car Boot Sale at Brick Lane.
►DJ JAY W- is an up and coming talent from south east London who has become known for his quick pased mixing and fusion of electro and tech house creating high energy atmosphere. He discovered his love for music from an early age listening to his fathers records which lead him to playing the guitar before mixing vinyl. He has since gone from strength to strength and now plays at some of the biggest commercial and underground house venues in london and the south east including Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Egg.

The Centrifuge Agency is delighted to be welcoming the critically-acclaimed Orcas for their first ever London show, fresh from the release of their widely praised debut album on Morr Music. This will be a very special evening with both band members, each respected and established in their own right, also performing solo sets.
Seattle’s post-minimalist composer Rafael Anton Irisarri plays his only solo UK show this year and Michigan’s Benoît Pioulard returns to London after recently enchanting a full house at Cafe OTO with his unique guitar and vocal explorations. Be prepared for an evening of Pacific Northwestern experimental guitar music, avant-folk songcraft and symphonic neo-classical ambience.

He’s one of the foremost electronic musicians in France and he’s coming to The Nest in May. With a background in US and UK indie rock and jazz, Joakim discovered electronic music and latched on to labels such as Warp and Mo Wax and luckily for us, hasn’t looked back. Joining Joakim is Alan Braxe, a true pioneer of electronic music. Making their way through thousands of records, the mysterious Waze & Odyssey now have the knowledge to combine the best elements of 90s NY house and garage, releasing their debut EP ‘Ah Baby’ on Miami’s petFood.
Formed back in 2010 at Goldsmiths College, Beaty Heart bring their psychedelic beats and drums to The Nest for your musical pleasure. Now choosing to release their latest tracks on their own label Worry Free, Beaty Heart are a video-art and music collective you need to catch live.

On Thursday 24th May Red Bull Music Academy and FABRICLIVE present Ram Jam – a night of explosive bass with gentleman rudeboy David Rodigan MBE at the helm. Bringing his coveted box of world-smashing dubplate specials and his inimitable command of the mic, expect a masterclass in crowd control-meets-dancefloor obliteration. Having cut his teeth playing youth clubs from the age of 15 and celebrating his 60th Birthday last year, Rodigan retains the glint in his eye, continues to destroy clubs and festival stages the world over, and shows no sign of slowing down.
Fiercely followed by a roster of dancehall and dub-flavoured special guests, many of whom regularly feature in Rodigan’s frenetic set, Ram Jam welcomes first lady of UKG Ms Dynamite, Birmingham’s own lover’s rock hero Bitty McLean, with dubstep Caspa, BBC Radio 1’s Toddla T and the UK’s number one bashment sound The Heatwave completing the bill.
But before the bass even begins rumbling through fabric’s cavernous floors, Red Bull Music Academy presents an intimate conversation with David Rodigan in the club’s VIP Room. Taking in a career spanning 40 years, Sir Ram Jam himself will be talking to a lucky few about his love of reggae and roots, complete with classic tales of clashes and roadblocks, his times in Jamaica, plus a chance to view never before seen photos and hear the dubplates that remain ingrained in reggae folklore. The conversation will be led and hosted by BBC Radio 1 host and long-time Academy team member, Benji B.
The conversation with David Rodigan, taking place from 8pm – 10pm, will be FREE subject to limited capacity. Those wishing to stay on for the main event should purchase a ticket in advance from www.fabriclondon.com which will be exchanged for a wristband on arrival.
This event forms part of Red Bull Music Academy’s busy year of lecture sessions, parties, live radio sessions, festival stages and general awesomeness ahead of the 15th annual Academy taking place in New York this Autumn.
For those unable to attend, the party will be recorded for Red Bull Music Academy Radio, so you’ll be able to listen back at www.redbullmusicacademyradio.com at your leisure. To get fired up, check out the mix Toddla T and Rodigan laid down for Red Bull Music Academy last year http://redbullmusicacademyradio.com/shows/3777/

Just Blaze join The Doctor’s Orders once for the third year in a row for what is certain to be another road block session of real Hip-Hop. As one of the most creative forces in the game Just Blaze cut his teeth in the late 90’s creating underground bangers for the likes of Buckshot. His distinctive sound soon caught the ear of the biggest players in the game and he soon had beats featured on albums for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Big Pun & Jadakiss. It was however as an in house producer with Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella records that he really made waves producing instant classics for Kanye West, Cam’ron, Freeway, Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel and of Jay-Z who has featured Just Blaze beats on 6 of his last 7 albums, all of which have gone platinum! Most recently he has been working with the hottest names in the game in the shape of Drake, Jay Electronica and upping his profile as the host of ‘Masters of The Mix’.
The Jersey born producer, known as the Megatron Don, has a distinctive soul drenched sound that bangs so hard that it rocks dance-floors across the globe. He will no doubt be treating a packed house to a fantastic mix of his own productions and the influences behind them in his only UK show of 2012.

We’re back in full effect and Tanka is still 20. Oh yeah, thanking you all for coming down for the birthday celebration. He really enjoyed dressing up for you all.

Detroit House Legend Scott Grooves is coming to Peckham, and Rhythm Section are delighted to be hosting him for this exclusive UK date.
Scott Grooves is best known for his work with Roy Ayers on 1998 Album ‘Pieces of a Dream’ along with ‘Mothership Connection’ – the George Clinton and P-Funk Collaboration expertly remixed by Daft Punk on Soma Quality Recordings.
Scott Groove’s output spans over 20 years of production, taking in everything from soulful jazz infused compositions to downright jacking techno tracks.
As well as releasing work on seminal dutch techno label CLONE, he also runs the labels “Natural MIDI”, which is geared towards the edgier analog sound, and “Modified Suede” which portrays his more organic soulful side.
As a former record store employee and a true advocate of vinyl culture and sound, we are more than a little pleased to play host to this Detroit Legend in such an intimate underground venue.
Check out this interview over at Little White Earbuds: http://www.littlewhiteearbuds.com/podcast/lwe-podcast-66-scott-grooves/
For the task of supporting Mr.Grooves, we have summoned some of the best selectors to have graced the 1210′s down at Rhythm Section:
Andrew Ashong: hailing from Forest Hill by way of Ghana, has a vinyl collection that would make most record shops look like a car boot sale. Andrew has released tracks in collaboration with Theo Parrish and has an EP in the pipeline for Sound Signature. With an almost inhuman knowledge of jazz, funk, soul, disco, latin, rock and hip hop and a collection of the rarest records to facilitate this, Andrew was the first person that sprang to mind as support for such a special show. Those who where there for Rhythm Section #5 will fully sympathise: Andrew’s set was transcendent.
Deep Soul Konnection: A Quartet of the most musically legit dudes in London comprising of Jason Spencer, Jus’ Paul, Adrian Ammo and DJ Heart. These guys have been on the soul/disco/house scene since it began and they know their game inside out. Expect Funk rarities, soul anthems and straight up house bangers from this experienced foursome.
Bradley Zero: The Rhythm Section man, Phonica Records Employeer and Boiler Room Producer and host will be on hand to keep things running smoothly and nice upn the dance Peckham style.
If you sign up here you can get in for £3 before 11pm: http://eepurl.com/gWmZr
If you don’t sign up here or you come after 11pm, it’s still just £5.

Future Disco has long been renowned for picking out the artists and producers that are destined for big things. Their compilation series has consistently spotted today’s much loved artists early in their careers, from the likes of Aeroplane to Mario Basanov, Soul Clap to Holy Ghost or Tensnake and Todd Terje, the Future Disco selection aren’t often wrong. So now Future Disco takes that same philosophy for delivering the next big thing and curates a brand new bi-monthly at The Nest, bringing fresh new artists to be heard before theyare a name on everyone’s lips. Each month Future Disco residents Sean Brosnan and Dom Chung will join the special guest for a little look into the future.

We’ll be looking forward to some of the jaw-droppingly good African stuff featured on their recent mixes next to the dustiest disco, best in house, boogie, reggae and other leftfield jams. But most of all we cant wait to hear them playing records aimed at a room full of dancing people, something mix tapes can’t quite capture.

We’ve tried a number of times over the last couple of summers to book Todd Terje, us being huge fans of his DJing, productions and cheeky edits – many of which have received plenty of airtime at both Slide and Get Diverted parties. In many ways we think we have our man at the perfect time in 2012, what with the 2 huge EPs he has released over the past 12 months – ‘Ragysh’, which became a monstrous anthem across a wide variety of dancefloors last year – and the superb ‘It’s The Arps’ from January this year, which included the futuristic disco stomper, ‘Inspector Norse’.
Terje has also re-hashed, re-edited and remixed an incredible spectrum of artists, everyone from Chic, Paul Simon, Wham!, Roxy Music, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and even Guns ‘N’ Roses!
Todd sums up his DJing style better than we can … “I both like playing big room/macho style, but at the same time it’s the girls I play for really. So I guess it’s a mixture of high octane, leather homo-disco done up with mambo, coconuts and lipstick”.
Sounds like the perfect recipe for up on the terrace to us…

BORGORE has now solidified his name as one of the ten heavyweight artists alongside SKRILLEX, CHASE & STATUS, NERO, SUB FOCUS, KNIFE PARTY, FLUX PAVILION, DOCTOR P, DATSIK, SKREAM & BENGA and RUSKO with an ever-growing fan base owed to his vibrant and highly energetic performances.
Recent grammy nominee and cover boy alongside DIPLO and SRILLEX on BILLBOARD magazine is no newcomer to the scene A-TRAK, having won the DMC world championships by the age of 15. Having racked up nearly 70 million views for hit track “Barbara Streisand” alongside ARMAND VAN HELDEN, FOOLD GOLD Record label owner is considered as one of the major players worldwide.
Playing alongside him and fortunate enough to have his only London show this year, is OWSLA signed PORTER ROBINSON, one of the fastest growing electro- dubstep artists internationally. With his first EP entitled Spitfire. reaching the number one spot on the iTunes Dance chart as well as the number one spot on Beatport’s overall release chart its understandable that he has also supported and toured with SKRILLEX, DEADMAU5, TIESTO and A-TRAK amongst many others.
An unstoppable way to innovate in several styles of bass music and a “best newcomers producers” award under their belt, DIRTYPHONICS- LIVE is with no doubt one of the most exciting groups in today’s electronic scene. We have finally got our man!
After nearly seven years at the top of the pile “the kings of the capital’s Hip-Hop scene” (Time Out), The Doctor’s Orders, are over excited to announce one of the very few DJs that have been on the wish list from the start that has not yet had the pleasure playing one of their hundreds of events.

Festival favourites and party-rockers, the Dub Pistols – led by main man Barry Ashworth – are back with their fifth album ‘Worshiping The Dollar’. Bringing their famously frenetic live show to Electric Brixton, they will be launching their album in classic Dub Pistols style – with an all-night party. A supporting lineup brimming with talent includes High Rankin, Rob Da Bank, Xfm’s Eddy Temple-Morris and dubstep renegade Rednek – this night will be a showstopper from start to finish.
Make sure you are a part of it.

Planet Mu Night presents Kuedo – Live, Machinedrum – Live, The Host AKA Boxcutter –Live, Rudi Zygadlo – Live, Tropics – Live, Tripper, Sduk & Cntrst and more / 11th May / XOYO
In line with their rich history of genre bending and melding, Planet Mu presents an evening of enthralling and diverse electronic music at one of London’s finest clubs – XOYO.
Kuedo will be headlining Room 1 with a live show that will be a treat and half to hear on XOYO’s cracking soundsystem. Like cruising through a retro-futuristic cityscape Kuedo’s highly emotive album ‘Severant’ is so unmistakably his own, a rare feat in a world of copy-cats – with a unique fusion of synth, 808 inspired hip-hop and all other manners of influences.
Machinedrum will also present live his unique vision off the back of one of 2011′s most celebrated LPs, ‘Room(s)’ – an album that truly encompasses 20 plus years of electronic influences from across the globe, be it the heaving sub-bass of jungle or the taut rhythms of juke. There are few producers who can meld such disparate elements into something so compelling and no doubt this will be transformed into a gripping live set.
Boxcutter in anticipation of a new Planet Mu album under his The Host alias will be keeping the floor moving with his deep and colourful sonic concoctions, Rudi Zygadlo who likewise has a heavily awaited LP will be showcasing live his strange yet fascinating take on electronic pop. To top Room 1 off the Tropics’s will present their ethereal sounds which are sure to swell perfectly around the cavernous main room.
Room 2 see’s the London collective Them showcase their warped and highly charged take on UK dance music with an exciting b2b set between Sduk and Cntrast. Other leading luminaries in forward thinking music, Tripper, Bagheera and Vortex SG top of the bill – all of whom promise to smash the living daylights out of Room 2.
With such celebrated artists and such a tightly curated line-ups in both rooms it’s sure to be an incredible night of beautifully strange music.

Showing some love for the people of Somalia! Plus a ridiculous lineup for a £5 (Special Guests included).
Although it has dropped out of the news Somalia is still very much in the grip of a full-blown humanitarian crisis. It seems that our media and government only recognise Somali people as a security threat, but we’re not down with that. All the money we raise will go to charities working in Somalia.

Rhythm Section and In Plain Sight team up for some bank holiday Sunday action once more. 4 of the finest selecotrs around will be on hand to keep you dancing to proper house music all night long.
If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it is the phrase that sprang to mind after the last session, so this event is a straight reload of part one.

Channelling the spirit of the original block party, Tayo’s Tracksuit Party is a chance to get up and get down to classic hip hop, garage, reggae, new and old disco, dancehall, 80s grooves, early house, proper electro and all that good stuff from the past, present and future. Since the first party in 2000, TTP has welcomed the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Roots Manuva, Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Basement Jaxx, Joe Goddard, Cuban Brothers, Spin Doctor, Ben Westbeech and a whole host more to do their thing.
Sunday 6th May sees West London’s most luxurious party pub host the 2012 instalment of Tayo’s legendary Tracksuit Party with special guests all at the forefront of their dance music field.
Rob Da Bank is one of those rare breed of DJs who has forged an illustrious career by constantly championing underground, leftfield live and electronic music. With a regular slot on BBC Radio 1 and the creation and curating of arguably the most unique UK music festival, Bestival, Rob Da Bank never lets his finger stray far from the pulse. His eclectic mix of funk, soul, bass, house and leftfield is sure to cause serious destruction to the Paradise decks on 6th May.
As one third of perhaps the first ever dubstep super group, Magnetic Man, Artwork is famed for his prolific selection skills and dance floor focused sonics. He’s as adept at playing techno and house as he is dark garage, grime and dub and is sure to leave your tracksuit comfortably balmy after his May Bank Holiday strictly vinyl, classic disco set.
Matt Jam Lamont will be dusting off the classics and delivering a unique “back in the day” Sunday selection. We’re also bringing you Wookie because one garage legend is never enough! Blending r&b with tougher club sounds, he came out with his own unique brand of garage that is still revered to this day. On May 6th he will also be reporting for CLASSICS duty.
Coming up the rear (in a two piece Adidas number) will be Tracksuit Party’s host and founder, Tayo3000.
With more DJs to announce, Bank Holiday Sunday will feel like an indoor carnival. Get your style on in Nylon, and get down to the best block party of the year.

Reaching a milestone that few other promoters see, Wiggle celebrates 18 years of innovation at Corsica Studios on Saturday 5th May 2012.
When Terry Francis and Nathan Coles started throwing parties it was a reaction to their circumstances. Already committed to London’s fledging acid house scene, both were influenced by rare groove and up-tempo soul. They wanted to create something of their own and were joined on their mission by Evil Eddie Richards, the man dubbed Britain’s ‘Godfather of house and techno’ for his role as one of the first to introduce the music to the UK in the mid 80’s.
Wiggle – the catch-all term covering their record label, club night, artist name and attitude – has come to typify a particular style of music; a deep, druggy basement-shaking sound that nicks techno’s swagger and steals house’s smile.
The term ‘tech house’ has often been applied to Wiggle’s musical style. It’s a term that didn’t exist when Wiggle first commenced their assault on the club scene, although Wiggle, and the trio that make-up the team, are widely considered its pioneers. (No mean feat in an industry where it’s difficult to do anything but follow in others footsteps.)
Wiggle stalwarts Nathan Coles, Terry Francis and Evil Eddie Richards will be joined on the night by infamous party Kerfuffle and Detroit legend Stacey Pullen.
Stacey Pullen began working in the Detroit techno scene in 1990, under the mentorship of Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Pullen’s incorporation of house and garage with techno has been cited as an influence on many electronic artists since then and has earned him a firm place amongst techno’s elite.
Wiggle has long held a special place in the hearts of the underground community, as much for it’s unique musical style as it’s unpretentious atmosphere. Maybe this is the very reason why Wiggle is one of only a few events around the world to have stood the test of time as a regular club event. Here’s looking forward to the next 18 years!

Corsica Studios are delighted to announce that on the 4th May 2012 we shall be hosting the London leg of the Live At Robert Johnson “Come On In My Kitchen” Tour.

After aptly Royalising Dalston for two days over Kate ‘n’ Wills’ wedding weekend last year, Land of Kings – the area’s annual cultural showcase – returns for a fourth reign on Friday 4th & Saturday 5th May.
Taking over 15+ venues, the festival sprawls across Kingsland High Street’s basement clubs, live music spaces and art galleries plus forgotten school halls, hidden banqueting suites and secluded gardens. Once again, punters are invited to roam the strip for two nights with wristband and map, hopping between the best of Hackney’s burgeoning creative scenes.
With club nights from the cream of the East End’s promoter outfits – Durrr, Black Atlantic, Dollop, To the Lazer Cave all weighing in – DJs include Breach, FunkinEven, Eliphino, Bullion, Gang Colours, Kutmah and Hannah Holland to name but a handful.
On Day 1, Red Bull Music Academy presents a night at the Arcola Tent based around the Miranda Sawyer and Colin O’Toole-directed Let Us Be Golden – looking at life as a breaking artist in the capital. Featuring a screening of the film and Q&A with the Directors, Eglo Live Band (ft. Fatima and Olivier Day Soul) and Rinse FM’s Alexander Nut – both involved in the film – also perform.
Delving deeper into the neighbourhood’s history as a hotbed of nightlife, Day 2 sees a multimedia programme around The Four Aces – the legendary club formerly on Dalston Lane that attracted performers such as Desmond Dekker, The Ronettes and, later, The Prodigy (who played their first gig there) and where locals would rub shoulders with punters like Jimmy Cliff, Vivienne Westwood and Bob Dylan. The programme includes the Four Aces BBQ hosted by the club’s erstwhile owner Newton Dunbar, screening of the Winstan Whitter picture Legacy in the Dust plus an exhibition of photography and artwork from the club. At night, a crew of the club’s original DJs joins Tayo, Breach and Hannah Holland for junglist revival party Wicked! Wicked!
