Simian Mobile Disco

Simian Mobile Disco

Simian Mobile Disco is made up of James Ford and Jas Shaw, formally of the Electronic Rock band Simian. They originally began Simian Mobile Disco as a DJ duo alongside the four-piece band, producing some high profile remixes under the moniker for the likes of Muse and The Klaxons. When the band ended in 2005 they continued as an outfit producing original work, DJing and performing live.

In 2007 they released their debut album ‘Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release’ on Wichita Recordings. Since then the pair have released big room leaning Electro and Techno with an ever present degree of considered nuance to critical acclaim. Their latest LP effort ‘Whorl’, has been met with wide-spread appraisal, and they end a successful year as Saturday night residents at London’s XOYO, calling on a stellar cast of guests for the series.
