Minimalist master Robert Hood first came up as part of the ‘second wave’ of Detroit Techno. One third of seminal Detroit outfit Underground Resistance alongside the equally legendary producers Jeff Mills and ‘Mad’ Mike Banks, Hood later found success as a solo artist. With a musical mission statement that aims to reduce music down to, “just drums, basslines and funky grooves and only what’s essential”, Hood has consistently and frequently delivered quality releases for more than 20 years. Also operating his popular, more House inclined, Floorplan alias, as well as running his own label M-Plant, Hood is respected around the world for his commitment to excellence in his craft.
