Mala
Mala is one half of Digital Mystikz: South London’s finest purveyors of meditational bass weight. Pioneers of the thriving dubstep scene, producers & DJs as well as label owners and promoters, they unleash a dense concentration of dubwise good vibrations that would make Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti equally proud. The Mystikz’ own label DMZ is a flagship for the movement, and the London institution Soul Jazz is fond of them too, as is Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label. Their self-titled label night in deepest Brixton is where spiritual explorers go for the grittiest grime aftermath, where all drops come spiked with bouncing natty dreads and rude MCs.
