Born to an Austrian mother and a Congolese father, 19 year old Kimyan Law grew up in Vienna. If you’re thinking such mix-match ancestry would result in some similarly unique musical fusions, then you’d be on the right lines. His music, whilst rooted in Drum ‘n’ Bass, explores dynamics far beyond the genre’s tag, conjuring vastly colourful soundscapes and textures with masterful production skills. His 2014 ends on a busy note – with a remix of Blu Mar Ten’s ‘Half The World’ on their ‘Famous Lost Words Remixes: Part 3’ EP, as well as both a single ‘Eclairage/Run Ames’ and an LP ‘Coeur Calme’ released on the Drum’n’Bass trio’s Blu Mar Ten Music imprint.
