Jeff Mills

Jeff Mills is one of Detroit’s many great Techno visionaries. He began DJing and producing in the late 80s, and created the collective Underground Resistance in 1990 with former Parliament Bass player ‘Mad’ Mike Banks. The group’s output was politically charged modern Techno, and entirely anti-mainstream. After leaving UR he created his own label – Axis in 1992, along with fellow Detroit native Robert Hood. Mills continues to explore new paths for Techno, and is currently creating the soundtrack to a full length film for Le Louvre, Paris, that tracks the ancient Egyptian walk through life to death and reincarnation.
