HeavyFeet
Effortlessly combining a party rocking blend of house, garage, breakbeat, and ghetto flavours, HeavyFeet are at the forefront of the bass music phenomenon. As the duo continue to roll out their ever-evolving sound through a string of bass-heavy releases with some of the leading record labels in the game, 2010 has undoubtedly been HeavyFeet’s biggest year yet, with additional remixes dropping for the likes of Roisin Murphy, DJ Zinc, Nick Thayer, Mele and Deekline, as well as the explosion of their brand new record label concept, Stamp! Beats.
Since their inception in 2007, HeavyFeet have DJed all across the UK, Europe and the United States, regularly smashing dancefloors with their energetic party sound, always looking for new production inspiration from hot international scenes. With their productions hitting as high as No.6 on the Top 100 Beatport chart, regular radio airplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, XFM, Kiss FM, Galaxy FM (in the UK) and from stations across Europe and Australia, support from key music publications including Mixmag, DJ Mag and IDJ Magazine and online support from key music blogs and media outlets including Discobelle and The Times Online, its fair to say the past three years have been an extremely busy blur for HeavyFeet.
Not content with just operating another small indie label, HeavyFeet have delivered a brand new single to fans (via Stamp! Beats) every month since April 2010. Each single features a different carefully chosen vocalist, each bringing their own unique performance style to HeavyFeet’s chunky beats. With a fresh approach to the delivery and promotion of the releases, HeavyFeet are offering fans the opportunity to download the original mix of every single release for free, for a limited period, encouraging them to enjoy and share their cutting edge sound, whilst allowing them the option to purchase the more familiar club mix and guest remix on their own accord.
With the recent arrival of their first EP of 2010, released on the now famous New York based Plant Music label, this heavy hitting house and garage flavoured four tracker has captured the attention of a wide range of artists, including the likes of Skream, Crookers, Todd Terry, Roska, Rack N Ruin and Grant Nelson, catapulting the energetic, ever evolving sound of HeavyFeet to a whole new audience. As the duo currently round off their ‘12 singles over 12 month’ project on Stamp! Beats, and complete a plethora of new remixes, rumors are beginning to emerge of a second EP release on Plant Music, as well as some exciting artist collaborations on Stamp! Beats for early 2011. Hold tight!
