Glasgow label Dixon Avenue Basement Jams presents an evening of fun, slamming club music headlined by recent Breaking Through subject Denis Sulta and Rinse FM’s Josey Rebelle.
Dixon Avenue Basement Jams
Mr Solid Gold
Frost may be biting hard outside but at Trouble Vision we’ve got the heat turned up to 11 for our first party of 2017. Dixon Avenue Basement Jams – Glasgow’s finest outlet for wild jackin’ party music – come though Corsica Studios for a night of deep-fever body workouts, club warmers and shake-your clothes-off dance numbers.
Top of the bill we welcome DABJ’s label beatnik, Denis Sulta. Denis’ own brand of jams pack undeniable punch. His productions have been pressed into wax by the likes of Numbers and NYC’s Mr. Saturday Night but he has always remained faithful to the ruff ‘n’ ready house and techno doctrine played out on Dixon Ave. Huge diva shake downs and jump-up bass lines are going to be order of the night from Denis. You will be moved!
Dan Monox and Kenny Grieve (AKA The Wasp) started Dixon Avenue Basement Jams with the intention of hunting down all the ‘real rockin’ raw shit from the street for the club’. Born out of Rubadub Records – THE undisputed haven for all things 4/4 and swinging in Glasgow City – DABJ have become seasoned pros in bringing the party to the floor. Expect the rawest cuts of burning house, acid bubblers and underground realness showcased next to choice selections from their mighty label.
Josey Rebelle will be in attendance representing the bold and eclectic club sound of London. Combing dance delight with Fahrenheit, Josey has branded her name on the London underground by bringing her heavyweight selection and expansive knowledge of getting-you-moving to every set she plays out.
Fans of Rebelle’s extended show on Rinse FM know that she is a DJ unafraid of the unexpected – we cant wait to hear what she has in store for us.
