Late Lunch
On the 1st of November we, Late Lunch will be celebrating our first birthday at the Bussey Building in Peckham. In order to celebrate “properly” for the occasion, we’re joined by some very exciting and most talked about DJ’s around at the moment mixed with our usual Late Lunch DJs to feed our crowd their regular dose of dance music.
Do the two headlining acts need much of an introduction?
…After Benjamin Damage & Doc Daneeka teamed up to release their single “Creeper” for 50 Weapons, it’s said that label heads Modeselektor loved the single so much they commissioned a full album and flew the two out to Berlin to finish it. These guys present a versatile, deep and innovative journey through the territories of clubland, NOT to be missed.
Bristols finest Kahn has been going strong in the dubstep scene for awhile now, constantly delivering his uniquely crafted weight with releases such as Helter Skelter (PUNCH DRUNK) Way Mi Defend (BOX CLEVER). This year Kahn teamed with Neek to produce one of summers most anticipated releases “Percy”… the first release on BANDULU records.
In support we have our special guests and friends; Bournemouth boys Save FiFi, who are involved in various Dance music radio shows and nights in Bournemouth joined by our very own Late Lunch Resident Milli, catering for everyone’s needs and always a crowd pleaser.

God Don’t Like It presents a special one-off event showcasing two of the most talked about labels currently emerging on the electronic music scene. Both were founded in 2009, Svetlana Industries in Belgrade, Serbia, and Well Rounded Records in Brighton, UK. While Well Rounded is more committed to the god of House and Svetlana has followed a more eclectic path, including dubstep, beats and Detroit influences, both are united in their consistent and courageous promotion of talented new artists, many of whom are subsequently pounced on by bigger competitors.
With eleven artists across two rooms combining hard hitting party house with more quirky and eclectic selections in the second room all for a bargain £5 advance this promises to be rare, interesting, banging and big all round.
Representing Well Rounded are: the star of their first ever release, Deadboy, Spatial, one of the pioneers of the fusion of house/dubstep sound that now defines UK Bass, deep house sounds from new signing Gongon and a vinyl purist’s set from label founder Donga.
Representing Svetlana are: BNJMN, fresh from a fantastic 4.5/5 review in Resident Advisor for his recent album on Rush Hour, Brey, the hotly tipped experimental house producer, new signing Microburst, with a deep and original sound reminiscent of Fourtet and recently described by a London reviewer as “a revelation”, label founder Thunderloops and partner in crime Andrea3000, adding the only female element to the line-up. Kelpe steps in as a long time friend of the label with his brand of hard hitting Technicolor hip hop with a live set showcasing tracks from his forthcoming album.

Influential San Francisco label dirtybird, fronted by the prolific Claude Von Stroke, is teaming up with In:Motion and Trouble Vision for a night of twisted jack-house, with a showcase featuring label boss Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin & Eats Everything, and Catz n Dogz. Scuba headlines the second warehouse along with elusive genius Joy Orbison, Will Saul, Dark Sky, Mr. Solid Gold & Park Ranger. The Tunnel is hosted by Sneaker Social Club, who present Paul Woolford, Throwing Snow, Cedric Mason, West Norwood Cassette Library, Bass Clef and George Oscar.

**Roman Flugel will be playing in-store at Kristina Records from 7pm before the party. 44 Stoke Newington rd, N16 7XJ**
“If credibility means producing the same track over and over again, I’d rather stay unpredictable.” Roman Flügel
In a scene fraught with conservatism, Roman Flügel is a rare non-conformist. From his early days as a founding artist on Klang Elektronik and Playhouse through to his work as Alter Ego and recent slew of albums, singles and remixes under his own name on Dial and Live at Robert Johnson, Roman has been delivering the goods for as long as we care to remember.
Incredibly diverse in his approach and the sheer variety of his releases, he is one of the true creators and innovators in the current electronic music scene. Luckily for us he’s also an incredibly sophisticated selector of records and one of those names that we’ve been chasing for ages to come and headline one of our parties.
When we asked Roman who he’d like to play with on the night he had only one name for us – BNJMN. One of the UK’s most promising house producers, he already has two albums to his name on Rush Hour and is steadily building a reputation as an awesome club DJ.
Capacity is limited to 350, so we massively recommend buying a ticket in advance. The venue will be announced to ticket holders the day before the event.
Support on the night will come from Make Me residents Rubin, Rupes and Nic Baird.

Stepping up from the underground this November, comes the latest in progressive clubbing: Spin Off Club. Set to shake East London’s midnight heartbeat Spin Off launches at a secret new game-changer of a location, bringing a beat-schedule of the global House scene’s most top-ranking names.
Stealing the virtues of House and keeping its cutting-edge music policy high on the agenda, its innovative approach will define it from the rest of London Clubland.
Early Bird Tickets £12.50

On Friday 9th November Skreamizm makes its London debut at Brixton auditorium Electric. This will be Skream’s final London show of 2012 and will take a back-to-basics approach: a dark room, a massive soundsystem, an extended set and a focus firmly on the music. Rather than staying in one place, they’ll find Skream taking the crowd on a tour through the music he loves.
The idea for the Skreamizm shows was first seeded at Skream’s birthday bash this year, where he played a set that took in everything from Boddika and 80s UK house to Donna Summer, all in a basement lit only by a single light. The energy between DJ and crowd was electric, reminiscent of Skream’s early gigs in dark club spaces, making this an unmissable night for his devoted fans.
On the night Skream will play an extended 3 hour set alongside some very special guests. This includes drum and bass legend Goldie, who following outstanding performances at many of Europe’s leading festivals including Tomorrowland and Outlook, returns home to deliver his trademark beats. Route 94’s music has created worldwide rumours and huge speculation in recent months having been supported regularly on Skream & Benga and Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 shows. Their true identity still unknown, making this is one of the most anticipated sets to hit Skreamizm yet. Hijak completes the main room lineup having been a key figure since the beginning of Skream’s musical career. Originally an early jungle DJ, before moving onto drum and bass, Hijak is expected to tear the roof off Electric Brixton.
“It’s about people going out, actually zoning in, and actually becoming at one with the music.” Skream
“London has always been such an important city for me to play in. I love the people and the energy. That’s why I am thrilled to be coming back and giving my London fans my very best. It’s going to be great!” Benny Benassi
Since storming onto the scene ten years ago, Benny Benassi has quickly achieved global status, with a worldwide fan base to boot. He returns to London on Saturday 10th November, firmly established as Italy’s #1 DJ, for the biggest UK headline show of his career. This exclusive one-off performance at Electric Brixton, a venue Benny has never played before, comes off the back of a monumental summer touring schedule and enormous demand from the capital’s clubbers.

We are very proud to be celebrating our 1st birthday this November. What an amazing and surprising first year we’ve had as a magazine; throughout the year we’ve hosted 8 mashing events, 4 at The Alibi, 2 at the Macbeth and our most recent event, our 12 hour boat party on the Tamesis Dock boat, near Lambeth Bridge. To celebrate our first birthday we’re hosting an all day 12 hour event at The Queen of Hoxton on Sunday the 11th of November!
WatchMePivot does not want for anyone to associate our events as a n
ormal night out. Our events are a congregation of our Community (artists, designers and musicians ) with the public of the magazine which are people in the creative world. It is a way for everyone to have fun but do not expect WatchMePivot event a regular party.
We want everyone to connect at a physical level since now-a-days everything is so interconnected virtually we want something real, something tangible, a real connection.
Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Vimeo, OR come and meet the whole team on a 12 hour party to celebrate all the effort and good times of this past year.

A creepy crawly electronic jazz combo, creating soundtracks for non-existing movies ; Dark, exotic and mysterious. Fusing analog and digital flawlessly, giving them a totally unique and original sound. Film Noir futurism.
Genre
Darkjazz. Electronica. Triphop. Post-Rock. Drones
Biography
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble (TKDE) formed in 2000 as a project to compose new music for existing silent movies. Jason Köhnen and Gideon Kiers, both graduates of the Utrecht School of Arts, combined their audio and visual skills to reinterpret classic movies by F.W. Murnau (Nosferatu) and F. Langs (Metropolis). In 2004, UK trombonist Hilary Jeffery and Swiss cellist Nina Hitz joined TKDE to record the self-titled debut album which was released on Planet Mu Records in May 2006. The ensuing tour saw Eelco Bosman and Paris based vocalist Charlotte Cegarra join, forming the Ensemble into a sextet. London based violinist Sadie Anderson joined in 2008 to supply the group with extra power on stage.
The Netherlands has been TKDE’s homebase since 2007, while members have moved closer to each other to make composing and producing easier. Apart from the mothership which is TKDE, there is another entity; The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation is a live improv jazz/drone/doom sideproject consisting of TKDE members and a host of interchanging guest musicians.
Due to the vast possibilities within the band, the sound spectrum of TKDE is hard to capture within one specific composition. Moreover, the project will lean towards various styles depending on the respective members working together at a given time. A good mix between atmosphere and technique is always the strong basis for a TKDE composition.
Live TKDE fuse analog and digital as much as possible. Combining traditional instrumentations (comprising cello, trombone, violin, beats, guitar, bass and vocals) with existing and/or self-developed software, continuously blending and mutating, creating an organic and electronic performance, supported by visuals which add to and interact with the frequencies of said instruments.

Rinse 106.8FM has been a haven for underground talent, pioneering artists and groundbreaking music for almost two decades, having started life as a pirate radio station in East London in 1994. Since those very humble days of rooftop transmitters, Rinse has grown into a record label, licensed FM radio station and a leading youth brand that is second to none. Having discovered names like Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Skream and Benga, Rinse’s roster of talent has continued to create a home for artists with a consistently fresh approach to music.
Rinse in 2012 is a refraction of the current UK scene, with artists like Mosca, Zinc, Katy B and P-Money all representing the sounds of the London underground across the world. For the Hidden Depths of Rinse, we will delve deep into the history of the label whilst showcasing a new generation of pioneering talent.
Taking things back to ’94, jungle legend, breakbeat garage don, innovator and sometime pop producer Zinc will headline the intimate show, providing fans with an insight into almost two decades of UK bass culture.
Support will come from one of grime’s finest lyrical talents Trim, plus sets from resident selector and garage/UK funky producer Brackles, rising production talent Faze Miyake and original house and ‘dubbage’ man dj Tippa.
The show will take place in the heart of Shoreditch, within the intimate surroundings of Concrete’s suitably underground basement, overlooked by the tower blocks of Rinse FM’s early years.

MARVELLOUS CAIN (Classic jungle/DnB set)
Marvellous Cain had a series of big tunes during jungle’s ragga heyday in 1993-94, including “The Hitman” and “Dub Plate Style.” Before signing to Suburban Base in 1995, Cain released tracks on labelmate Sponge’s I.Q. imprint, collaborating with Sponge and current Ganja Kru member Pascal under a barrage of names, including Lion Man, Badman, and Gunman.
A DJ as well as producer, Cain began typically enough, spinning rave and hardcore in the early ’90s and following the style into full-blown jungle by the middle of the decade. He established his own label, Runninz, out of the ashes of I.Q., and has released tracks there as Runninz Kru and CoCain. Cain’s sample-heavy style got him into a bit of trouble with his first hit, “Hitman,” which sampled a large section of a Cutty Ranks record; Cain agreed to a few remixes for Cutty to keep the issue out of the courts.
Cain released Gun Talk, a full-length collection of his most well-known tracks (as well as a few new ones), on Sub Base in 1996. He has since focused on Runninz releases, cutting his Sub Base output to three singles a year. He continues to DJ at the international level
Marvellous Cain has informed us that he will be bringing his box of 10″ DUBZ to come and tare down the dance, get ready!

With a discography that spans a whopping four decades R&S Records have firmly cemented their place in electronic music history as connoisseurs of the genre both past and present. Classic acts like Aphex Twin, Model 500 and Joey Beltram have all played a part in the labels make-up yet they’ve had a big hand in the recent rise of the UK’s fragmented electronic scene by getting acts such as James Blake and Pariah at the embryonic stages in their respective careers. On Friday 23rd November James Blake will be stepping behind the decks for a DJ set that promises to encapsulate the diversity of the label whilst Mancunian psychedelic pop quartet Egyptian Hip-Hop play a live show showcasing tracks from their debut GOOD DONT SLEEP album. There’s also the chance to catch live sets from Vondelpark ahead of their forthcoming album and intergalactic funk musings from Irish beatsmith Space Dimension Controller. For an idea of where the UK is at right now then look no further than Lone who’s 90’s-influenced album Galaxy Garden is one of this year’s standout long players and Pariah who’s been busy as of late with his Karren techno project and his incredible ‘Rift EP’. Also on DJ duties are Airhead and The Chain who’ve recently played an amazing back to back set at Green Man festival, as well as regular sets at the 1-800 Dinosaur night at Plastic People
