The UK’s leading dub and reggae promoters Subdub return to London for another sell out event at Cable Nightclub. With a huge line up spanning all 3 of Cable’s arches featuring some of the UK’s leading soundsystems as well as the biggest names in dub alongside showcases by Dispatch records and Mindstep Music this is one event you don’t want to miss!
Push & Run DJs
Fledgling UK imprint Push & Run maintain their impressive momentum with an official label party.
‘Treehouse’ and ‘To Me’ Ifan Dafydd’s (Push & Run head honcho) latest releases are richly textured and blessed with delightfully intricate and sensitively pitch-shifted vocal dubs. Skipping piano motifs, sweeping strings and bold orchestral stabs punctuate Ifan’s effortless chord progressions.
Push & Run tread a tightrope somewhere between melancholy and optimism, with there bold and bright compositions underpinned by weighty sub low frequencies.

Planet Mu Records running things!
We’re very happy to have foundational UK boss man Mike Paradinas aka µ-Ziq aka Planet Mu Records label head and first man in Footwork here in the UK joining us this time round for a very special and very mµch Mu indebted party.
Responsible for THE seminal Mixcloud mix back in 2010 showcasing the sound to many listeners outside of the Chi for the first time EVER, Mike and his label Planet Mu have since been responsible for releases from many of Chicago’s finest contemporary producers including the likes of DJ Nate, DJ Roc, DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, DJ Diamond, Young Smoke and many more via a series of EPs and full length albums as well as the two massive “Bangs & Works” compilations. Boasting what is easily the biggest collection of insider tracks outside of Chicago’s vanguard, as well as loads of exciting other unreleased and exclusive tracks influenced by the sound, you can look forward to some seriously authentic heat from our man on the night.
Next up it’s another biggy from the Mu camp, Ital Tek. Having already made a name for himself both in the UK and elsewhere with a series of ice cold dubstep / so much more releases a few years back, the young Brighton producer has since switched to a much higher tempo but no less cold, hardcore and futuristic footwork and juke influenced sound – showcased wonderfully on his new album ‘Nebula Dance,’ full of intricately crafted and intelligently produced bangers primed and ready to detonate on the dancefloor. He’ll be following up this new album release, out only days before on Planet Mu, with a special DJ set just for us.
As for the left overs – nothing long. Regular London party scene sma$$$her and ghetto booty teknitian Bump n Grind joins residents Das Boot and Jambie to bring you more of exactly what you already wanted – nuff exclusives, dubs and personals from some of chi town’s ruffest, tuffest and weirdest juke and footwork producers, plus srt8 up ghettotech and hardcore jit sh*t, trap rap, rnb and other global mutant badness to make you dance.

On Friday 26th October online record store Bleep will be presenting some of their hot tips for the current wave of forward-thinking Techno that has seen UK and German producers swap notes, so to speak, on how to propel the genre into the ears of a new audience. Blawan has been creeping up on the radar with his productions which are steeped in traditional Techno but still contain the swing and groove of UK Garage and early Dubstep – as 2011’s Getting Me Down proved by claiming the number one spot in RA’s top tracks of the year list.
Stroboscopic Artefacts leading light Lucy will be laying down a selection of cerebral cuts that he’s been championing since the labels inception and the man who may have just made 2012’s most daring release, in the shape of Cactus on Hessle Audio, Objekt will be playing a mixed selection of Techno both old and new. We’ll also be treated to a rare live set from Third Side (comprised of Steffi and The Analogue Cops) whom after show-stopping releases on Restoration Records are expected to bring nothing but uncompromising machine grooves. Adding his perspective on Techno will be Bristol’s House ambassador Kowton who has been in fine form with his distinctly raw and disjointed productions, which have found homes on labels like Keysound and Idle Hands.
