The Stowaways’ new single ‘Time For Change’ has finally been released, big and theatrical but pop where it matters, they take influences from Friendly Fires, The Police and Bombay Bicycle Club and top everything off with great vocals.
They’re celebrating the new release with a fully booked summer, they’re playing at Nozstock Festival, Brownstock Festival and have many more gigs planned for September.
Their outstanding live shows have led to them a residency at Brick Lane’s ‘Cafe 1001′, supporting New Young Pony Club at Prague’s prestigious ‘Meet Factory’ and headlining the Roundhouse’s emerging artist industry showcase.
But what you don’t want to miss is their performance at London 2012 Olympics.
Emerging Icons Stage at the Olympics Park is ready and looking hot, The Stowaways are playing on friday the 3rd of August and it’s free!!
“These boys could be one small break away for getting proper big” Crack Magazine
“Crisp tight arrangements and fresh, vigorous musicianship, topped off by lovely impassioned vocals. An emerging London band to watch with interest in 2012.” Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music)
“An inventive breakdown marks this one out from the crowd of young pretenders as something with a bit more meat.” Glasswerks

Layo and Bushwacka! are back with another awesome party with ‘Shake it presents’. The crowd will be treated to one of their legendary ‘All night’ sets from sunset to sunrise and will be joined by some serious underground talent. Following his last sensational Shake It appearance, very special guest Paco Osuna joins the duo… On the terrace, the Leading Astray collective take control.

DISCO DEVIANCE PARTY FEAT JG WILKES (OPTIMO) + MORE
Friday 10th August
JG Wilkes (Optimo, Espacio)
Pete Herbert
DIcky Tricso
Vanguard (Live)
Pop Campaign (Live)
Label imprint Disco Deviance head a Friday night takeover bringing Pete Herbert, Dicky Trisco and JG Wilkes (one half of legendary clubbing institution Optimo) to our Dalston basement. Optimo’s last outing at The Nest proved heavy so doors are swung wide open for JG Wilkes return. With a 2-decade deep history in Clubland and an influence stretching across the Scottish border JG Wilkes’ time spent on both sides of the DJ booth has given him a clear vision of the dancefloor’s needs and wants.
Stepping into the roster as well is Pete Herbert. With an equally as impressive clubbing history, Herbert’s past producer aliases as Reverso 68 (with Phil Mason) and LSB (with Baby G) released on the mighty Eskimo Recordings has given him grounds to have London at his feet. Dicky Trisco also supports bringing a dose of cosmic and electro disco to the night’s mix. Live pop beats are provided by Vanguard and Pop Campaign.

FRIDAY AUGUST 3
KDMS ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY FEAT LITTLE BOOTS AND ALEXIS (HOT CHIP) + KDMS (LIVE) + WILLY
MOON (LIVE) + LOVERPROOF (LIVE)
Sky-high from the backing of some of the blogosphere’s most reputable voices, indie-disco duo KDMS are readying to take their underground electro sound to the live club scene as they launch their debut LP at The Nest. Out on the much-hyped Gomma label, big things are expected from this pairing’s first album.
Featuring the vox of Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor (who’s incidentally down on this party’s billing) and with support from Radio 1 queen Annie Mac, the launch party will no doubt live up to the deep and dirty beat of the album: ‘Kinky Dramas and Magic Stories’. Glamorous pop siren Little Boots will also be up on deck duties selecting suitable electro sounds with the young beat-fashionista Willy Moon playing live before.
