Youtube Surfing: Monki

For our first ‘YouTube Surfing’ outing of the year we invite Rinse FM DJ, Monki.

As well as her well-respected weekly radio show, Monki has set up a label of her own, Zoo Music, and is slowly creeping into the realms of production herself. This feature shows the variation of her taste, a theme that runs through her output as a radio host, club DJ and will undoubtedly do so via her label.

Included in her ten choices is a forthcoming Zoo Music track, TOYC & Zulu‘s ‘Needs To Be Said,’ a classic from the late Etta James, and an on-point selection of house, funky and garage.
