May 12, 2012 The Coronet, London+ buy ticketsTHE PLAYGROUND FEST announces the addition of BORGORE to an already astounding line-up including A-TRAK, PORTER ROBINSON (ONLY London show), DIRTYPHONICS- LIVE, SEBASTIAN- LIVE, DILLON FRANCIS (ONLY London show), and many more which will be happening at iconic venue THE CORONET in just over 8 weeks time.
THE PLAYGROUND FEST will be THE PLAYGROUND’S largest show to date bringing together 25 acts and dj’s across three rooms spanning 10 hours, merging the best in DUBSTEP, DRUM N BASS, ELECTRO and MOOMBAHCORE/ MOOMBAHTON.
BORGORE has now solidified his name as one of the ten heavyweight artists alongside SKRILLEX, CHASE & STATUS, NERO, SUB FOCUS, KNIFE PARTY, FLUX PAVILION, DOCTOR P, DATSIK, SKREAM & BENGA and RUSKO with an ever-growing fan base owed to his vibrant and highly energetic performances.
Recent grammy nominee and cover boy alongside DIPLO and SRILLEX on BILLBOARD magazine is no newcomer to the scene A-TRAK, having won the DMC world championships by the age of 15. Having racked up nearly 70 million views for hit track “Barbara Streisand” alongside ARMAND VAN HELDEN, FOOLD GOLD Record label owner is considered as one of the major players worldwide.
Playing alongside him and fortunate enough to have his only London show this year, is OWSLA signed PORTER ROBINSON, one of the fastest growing electro- dubstep artists internationally. With his first EP entitled Spitfire. reaching the number one spot on the iTunes Dance chart as well as the number one spot on Beatport’s overall release chart its understandable that he has also supported and toured with SKRILLEX, DEADMAU5, TIESTO and A-TRAK amongst many others.
An unstoppable way to innovate in several styles of bass music and a “best newcomers producers” award under their belt, DIRTYPHONICS- LIVE is with no doubt one of the most exciting groups in today’s electronic scene. French electro producer SEBASTIAN will performing his only LIVE show this year bringing to life tracks that have shaped a new decade in musical production including influencing the likes of three time grammy winner SKRILLEX.
Almost out of nowhere, OWSLA signed DILLON FRANCIS has broken from the throng of young electronic music dj/producers. With a stream of world-class remixes and releases, Dillon has caught the attention of some of the top players in club land, including STEVE AOKI, DIPLO, SKRILLEX and RUSKO to name some. Recently released EP “SOMETHING SOMETHING, AWESOME” has now put the dj/ producer at the forefront as one of the most groundbreaking producers worldwide merging DUBSTEP and bubbling genre MOOMBAHTON.
