NYC/LDN is back, bringing a little New York swag to London nightlife. After taking a three-year hiatus from the last session in 2008 – which debut Theophilus London to the UK – this daring new music club night emerges to reconnect the paces of both cities in the quest of “who’s got next”?
Dyme-A-Duzin refuses to follow anybody’s standards. This charismatic 18-year old mc is today’s 360 hip-hop artist – rapper, singer, songwriter, video producer, marketer, distributor and more. Dymez overall confidence, style and demeanor illuminate his talents where there is no dismissing his pop star potential. Loaded with online takeaways, his music videos are more like web-episodes that his fans can chronicle his rise to fame.
Nu Brand is pioneering a new London sound we’ve coined as chronic grime. Their unique approach is slowing down the bpms and releasing some 2-step tension to allow their hooks to flow and transcend. Imagine N.E.R.D making a slow jam for Bashy. It’s mary jane all night long.
Futuristic synth loving boy/girl duo Royalty round up the live while on the party spinning selections are in the hands of Ellijah & Skilliam B2B Swindle, Work It DJs, the bPM (Boiler Room) and Lixo (Get Me!). NYC/LDN feels so damn good to be back!
PRESENTED BY PEGGY JEAN-LOUIS AND KOKO

Native is a brand new night hitting Brixton, South London focusing on forward thinking bass music.
The first night features one of the producers/DJ’s of the moment, XXXY. Hailing from Manchester, XXXY’s productions and remixes take us back to the heyday of the UK Garage scene with a modern twist. His breakout hit Ordinary Things took dancefloors across the UK by storm with it’s punchy vocal sample and perfectly layered synths.
Native #01 also features the first public performance from the mysterious Infinite Potentials, one of the founding members of Indigo Pyramid, who’s album ‘Indigo Shades’ garnered much appreciation from the underground music scene last year with their individual fusion of hip-hop, electro, soul, brokenbeat and nu jazz sounds.

Beyond The Clouds is a joint project brought to you by the promoters of Süd Electronic, Bodyhammer and TOTHEBONE. It’s a series of fantasy dance nights celebrating the earliest, rawest incarnation of house music and featuring line-ups we’ve dreamed of for years.
Our guests this time are Chicago’s Lil Louis, Move D and Juju & Jordash.
If you came to our first party, you’ll know what to expect from Louis – house, techno and disco mixed hard and fast for your dancing pleasure. When the night is right and his sets aren’t being recorded – and this one won’t be – Louis throws all manner of old,
And new unreleased material into his DJ sets. Be sure you’re there to hear it.
Lil Louis needs no introduction , being one of the figure heads that shaped the house we now know and love . Think “French Kiss “ , “Club Lonely” , “Blackout” “Frequency” & that’s just for starters .
The night will also see the first UK airing of an extra-special collaborative live project from Move D and Juju & Jordash: called ‘Magic Mountain High’, it’s a totally improvised, hardware-only acid jam session made and played on the machines you love. Think 303 , 808 , 90 e.t.c , live & direct . This collaboration first came together @ Dutch Label – Dekmantel’s – Het Kabinet festival in November 2010 in Amsterdam & it totally rocked the house.
Move D needs no introduction either . One of the most busiest producers working right now and he thoroughly enjoys what he does . A producer of note with key releases on labels such as Warp Records , Philpot , Uzuri , Workshop , Source and many many more . Move D loves a collaboration as well having collaborated with the likes of Phill Niblock , Jonah Sharp and many more . Now with Juju & Jordash .
The Israeli Amsterdam based duo have been causing a stir with their low slung , psychedilic & out there electronic cuts on some premier labels such as Dekmantel , Psychostasia Aesthetic Audio , Uzuri , Real Soon , Downbeat & Philpot .
Hometown support comes from BTC residents , Lakuti, Joe Hart, Rik Moran and Charlie & Dave TTB.

Eskmo performas at this exclusive London event. Debuting his brand new live A/V show after its success in the States.
►ESKMO- Brendan Angelides is a San Francisco based electronic music producer who records and performs live as Eskmo. His multi-genre compositions have been featured on influential labels like Warp Records and Planet Mu (most recently having been signed to the mighty Ninja Tune). While Angelides’ tracks encompass a wide range of electronic styles, he avoids classifications. Bleep.com described his tracks as “Masterfully produced… sophisticated, post-Dilla hip-hop funk“. His last single of 2009 entitled “Let Them Sing” on Mu was met with equal praise and described by sites like Boomkat as “[Putting] Eskmo on his own electronic plateau.”
In the past five years he’s released over a dozen singles and EPs while touring throughout North America and Europe. He’s also remixed works by diverse artists such as Bibio, Spor, STS9, Amon Tobin and Bar9, to name a few.
Ninja Tune recording artist and film composer Amon Tobin hailed his work as “some of the best production I’ve heard in recent times.”
►DELS- A young MC and graphic designer from Ipswich who grew up with a serious Wiley and Outkast habit, Kieren Dickins aka DELS has been making a bit of a stir for a couple of years now. Will Ashon, in charge of A&R at Big Dada, says, “He’s the perfect Big Dada artist really – a very talented MC who pushes what he can say with words as hard as he can and combines it with a really adventurous attitude towards music. Oh, and he does his own artwork and videos, too, which makes things much easier!”
Dickins himself says, “I am so happy to be joining a record label with such a rich musical heritage. I have always felt it was important that I signed to a label that wouldn’t attempt to compromise my vision. I think that my music has finally found the perfect home in Big Dada. The likes of Joe Hot Chip, Kwes and Micachu are all artists/producers that I loved before I began working on my debut album. So I feel incredibly lucky to be working with such a talented group. DELS’ debut album will be released early in 2011.
►KWES- initially performing wurlitzer piano on Jack Penate’s debut LP, he then went on to do a UK and European tour with him playing the laptop, snare and melodica. He then co-produced a mixtape entitled Kwesachu Vol.1, with Micachu (as “Kwesachu”), alongsideMCs Dels & Ghostpoet, with appearances from London pop-bands Golden Silvers, Hot Chip and Man Like Me to name a few. Matthew Herbert touted him as a musician and producer to watch, admiring his “really unusual, experimental approach”
Kwes has also reworked several artists including Damon Albarn’s opera ‘Monkey’, Portico Quartet, Keane, Zero 7 amongst many others. He is currently producing Big Dada signing DELS’ forthcoming album due for release in early 2011.
►MACHINEDRUM- has produced and composed several albums and various aliases since his first independent release in 1999. Covering an astonishing variety of styles with ease he has always been a trailblazer- bridging the gap between genres that would otherwise never have met before. His debut now you know gained international recognition and was heralded as “the standard to which the next wave of imitators aspires”- PITCHFORK
►ANXST- It was a small town mundanity and endless sparse countryside which lead to ANXST’s genre transcending dexterity and takes in the experimental Dubstep trip of Vex’d, Industrial Techno of Surgeon, the future glitch of Flying Lotus and the scattered experimental drum and bass of Amon Tobin which results in the vast textured styling of this talented artist.
►BLANK DISCO- is primarily the musical persona of London / Home Counties based electronica artist Dan Seville. Although Dan’s musical activities have their roots in experiments going back to the mid ‘90s, his Blank Disco project only started to take full shape in 2009, since when he has embarked on a concentrated process of developing and refining his sound aesthetic, combining elements of techno, ambient and field recordings to effect his skewed vision of the contemporary landscape. The recording process for From Zero involved much consideration of approaches to sound, and traced a shift from heavily sample-based manipulations to a stronger focus on the use of synthesised instruments, while attempting to retain a visceral feel to the music. Many tracks were reworked or rejected during a ruthless process of weeding out any hint of “filler”, and the result is a set that grips from start to finish. The album was mastered by Noel Summerville at Metropolis, whose CV includes work with the likes of Autechre, Boards of Canada and Mira Calix.
“I wanted the music to feel like there was a bunch of strange, slightly disintegrating, machines playing music in a concrete bunker somewhere in the future, and I’ve just turned up with a reel-to-reel tape machine and recorded it.”
►SEAMS- Touring with Gold Panda and Dam Mantle whilst selling out a run of “Nightcycles” pressed by Tough Love set Seams off to a very strong start. Always a musician, James Welch went through school playing guitar in bands, often taking the role of producer. Starting out on four track tape he moved onto Logic then Ableton Live and most recently stepped back to tape incorporating a cassette dictaphone into his production setup.
Most electronic music fans will recognise in Seams’ organic sound a reference to traditional songwriting and structure. I’m sure for a new generation of listeners Seams will be the gateway drug to electronica for those kids that grew up listening to guitar music.

Saturday June 4th, will see the first live London performance since 2009 from German electronic composer Ulrich Schnauss.
With musical influences ranging from My Bloody Valentine to Tangerine Dream via Acid House, Ulrich’s live shows are legendary.
A rare opportunity to see his live show in the intimate East London venue the Old Blue Last.
This is a free entry show and capacity is limited so please come of down nice and early.

MARLA (Dub Organizer)
SECOND LINE (Mothers Against Noise / Wholemeal)
ESSELLE (Wholemeal)
Wholemeal returns to that East London institution The Rhythm Factory in June for another 100% FREE party with another lineup well worth making a fuss over.
Sheffield’s Oris Jay has been in the game longer than most Wholemeal punters have been alive. From early origins fusing Garage and Breakbeat (yes, before 138 Trek) to dragging the darker, more dub inflected sounds from Garage under his Darqwan alias, Oris has always resisted the hype and consistently pushed his own agenda.
Joining him we have Dub Organizer’s recent signing Marla, south London’s rapidly rising producer Second Line and Wholemeal’s own Esselle.

BassLaced and Silkie have been working together this month to bring you “City Limits Vol 2.”
Launching Silkie’s second album, which is due for release on Deep Medi, will be an all-star line-up handpicked by Silkie himself. Silkie headlines and, along with long time friend and production partner Quest, will be playing a special 90 min showcase of all the material from the new forthcoming album. Swamp 81 boys, Loefah and Boddika are also set to make an appearance playing their Swamp 81 sound while going back to back for the special occasion. Mad Decent label artist, Mumdance will be showcasing his talents while the legendary DJ Hatcha, hot off the back of his 100% pure dubstep compilation CD joins the party. Fellow label mate V.I.V.E.K celebrates the launch of “City Limits Vol 2” while Eddie K from H.E.N.C.H makes his way up from Bristol to deliver some thunder.
In room 2 are Brixton Jam residents “Redux,” who having enlisted My Panda Shall Fly to headline their room are planning on bringing their carnival fuelled fun down to Cable for this night only.

The Z-Shed & Coin Operated were all set for a trip to Glastonbury but unfortunately due to legal reasons they’re still not allowed within a 5 mile radius of U2. Bono if you’re reading this, it was a joke OK?
But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining and this one comes in the shape of massive free party down at our favourite east London hang out, The Rhythm Factory.
So, without further ado.

His latest release on Skam demonstrates his ability to offer up cerebral sounds that take cues from electro, techno, dub and noise whilst never failing to shake your ass. Samoyed will be swinging down in anticipation of his upcoming releases on #notallowedtosaybutitllbeannouncedsoon so keep your ears open. Then Canadian-born Soosh will be swilling his tender noise-plays in with some of his favourite riddims to smooth everyone into the night.

“Vikings” is fast becoming a techno institution, packed to the rafters with bright young things. Brought to you by dance music pioneers Joe and Will Ask and taking place on the final Thursday of each month, the duo will be bringing the best of the quirky, melodic dance music that they have become so well known for.
With Vikings you can guarantee a few things; the line up will be major, the atmosphere electric and the night itself will be memorable. Having brought the likes of Boy 8 Bit, Matt Walsh, Bowski, Eskimo Twins & Coin Operated Boy to some of London’s most intimate venues, Vikings always provides some riotous tomfoolery.
