We are holding our last party before our annual trip to France with the sound system.
This time we’ve put it right in the heart of Nathan Barley land. Except this being a KSS party – do not expect the usual handbag friendly techno that the local Shoreditch nights all play. Were coming down to the heart of East London with all guns blazing.
A welcome return for the Techno Storm that is Jeff Amadeus and our own Mr Ratcliff back ‘down south’!
This exclusive venue will remind a few old faces of days gone by – it’s all shaping up to be A PROPER TECHNO BANK HOLIDAY.
Production & Info ::: Quad Funktion One Stacks, Usual Lighting/RGB Laser, New 2011 Merchandise stall with brand new Cassette Mix Tapes (how shoreditch is that?!)
Hav’ It.

Following the sell-out event with Trojan Sound System in April, Reggae Roast returns to The CAMP Basement for another night of quality roots & culture, welcoming special guests, the mighty; Peckings Sound System. This event is destined to be another uplifting dance, as Reggae Roast continue to offer the best roots, dub & dubstep in the capital in a unbeatable, welcoming atmosphere.
Founded by the late George Price, a pioneer of Jamaican music in the UK, Peckings has been a leading light in the British music scene since the 1970s. George Peckings was a close friend of Jamaica’s top record producers; Coxsone Dodd, Price Buster, Duke Ried & Bunny Lee and became the official importer of their material to the UK & US. Peckings became instrumental in bringing the sounds of Jamaica across the atlantic and this legacy lives on through their west London record shop and live sound system performances.
In recent years Chris Peckings has recorded many current and upcoming artists including; Bitty Mclean, Peter Hunningale, Gappy Ranks & Taurus Riley to name but a few. The Peckings imprint is still synonymous with top quality, authentic roots reggae and continues to spread the message and riddims of Jamaica. We are very much looking forward to an exclusive 2-hour set from Chris Peckings, hosted by Jungle MC legend; Demolition Man, who hit big in the charts and dancehalls across the globe with his smash hit single ‘Fire’.
Also playing on the night will be founders of Reggae Roast Exel & Moodie and resident selector; Dub Hunter. This months session will be hosted by Ramon Judah. Expect to hear the freshest selection of classic revival, dub, steppers & dubstep, as well as forthcoming offerings from the Reggae Roast Records label, including the anticipated; Reggae Music EP Feat. Earl 16 & Mungo’s Hi Fi, released on May 23rd 2011.
This bi-monthly residency continues to promote the strength of real roots music and provides for the demand for a conscious club night. As always this event is only £5 before 11pm and capacity is limited to 250 so arrive early for guaranteed entry.
Artists: CHRIS PECKINGS, DEMOLITION MAN, EXEL & MOODIE, DUB HUNTER & RAMON JUDAH

★LIVE SET RECORDINGS FROM NOISEMONSTER.FM… Right, these guys do a sterling job at coming to our events and recording our rooms for us but we’ve been a bit behind on this because we have to sift through such large amount of high quality files (over 9 hours of music in each room so times each recording by 3) hence why we haven’t got anything up just yet! But we DO have every recording and once we have a new website up we will get these on there!
★FULLY THEMED AND HANDMADE DECOR… Weeks before the event our very talented ALANs are working hard on making fun, colourful and interactive decor… We decorate to make you raving experience SENSATIONAL… we cannot wait to show you what magical masterpieces we have in store for you at our 2nd Birthday party! Happy Fooking Birthday Alan!
★DRINKS PROMOS!!! This day and age drinks are a small fortune! Especially in London clubs!!! So we’ve managed to negotiate £3.50 on Fosters cans ALL NIGHT!!! Which brings it reasonably close to normality!
★★★★★★★★★★★★★
IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
The decor team would like to pass across the message ‘leave the decor be’ as we want to keep creating these fun filled fantasy worlds for you lovely Alans but our budget only allows us to do so much so the decor needs to not be touched and left to be beautiful for everyone’s enjoyment please! So if you see any one walking around at an Alan rave with decor please politely tell them leave it be and let an Alan know either at Front of House or the Stall in the garden and we will politely barter with them, maybe bribing them with sweeties as this seems to be a winner.
so to put it simply… We can’t afford to keep replacing the decor because it gets wrecked or ruined so please bear this in mind as we’re trying to create something special for you after all.
go get your party hats!
Love the ALAN Crew

Endless Race are back at the Star & Shadow cinema on Saturday May 14th, , as part of the Late Shows, with no less than two superb guests, Gatto Fritto (DJ) and Jamie Blanco (Live), to pick up where we left off after the success of our first party in February, where we hosted Bill Brewster.
Gatto Fritto is Ben Williams and Ben Williams is Gatto Fritto. Andrew Weatherall and Harvey champion his tracks. So do we, and we’ve been list…ening closely since hearing his inimitable ‘Invisible College’ track on Dissident Records back in 2007. He’s finally got an album out now on the prestigious International Feel recordings that you might be tempted to describe as a mixture of cosmic disco, Balearic or even synth pop but we’re not getting muddled up in that. The fact is, it’s utterly sublime and been well worth the wait – it’s an odyssey of brilliance.
Not only is Ben one of the most talented electronic music producers in the UK but a superb DJ to match. Bringing a selection of disco, house and other eighties oddities electronic or otherwise to Endless Race, collected over the past 15 years or so whilst working for various second hand record shops around London (safe to say he knows a thing or two about DJing then), your dancing needs will be lavishly indulged at the next Endless Race. We’re certainly not alone in acknowledging the man’s plentiful talents, with a string of DJ dates across Europe and other fine nights in the UK such as Bad Passion and Lowlife he’s a bit busy. This is his first appearance in Newcastle, don’t miss out.
If that wasn’t enough, we’re equally excited to have a live performance from another extremely talented, if as yet under-acknowledged London based producer to get things kick started on the night. You’d be forgiven for not having heard of Jamie Blanco with only a limited single released to date on Russell Club records, but it’s that damn good, as are oodles of his unreleased tracks on soundcloud that we thought we’d ask if he did a live set. Luckily he said yes, and will be bringing his gloriously rich all-analogue house sound to Newcastle in May.
So there you have it. A DJ set, a live set, and , of course, Endless Race’s resident DJs will be warming you up and winding you down in what promises to be another great party, at a brilliant and friendly venue, with a top notch sound system that’s clear as well as loud, and no posing.

This month BassLaced have teamed up with Cable’s other powerhouse night ERGH to bring you an all round banging line up.
Get the summer started with some of the hottest acts to be smashing through the UK club circuit right now. Emalkay straight off the back of his album “Eclipse” hits Room 1 at Cable while Toddla T takes a break from his Radio 1 duties to make an appearance at BassLaced and ERGH, with MTA records’ 16Bit gullying their way onto the line up after releasing the massive Freezr 9k only the other week.
Soul R, Digital Soundboy, Shogun Audio, Critical…is there a heavyweight label not to have released a S.P.Y tune in the last 12 months? The Brazilian maestro brings the samba D&B vibes while Kryptic Minds showcase their new album Can’t Sleep. Last but by no means least, Yo Yo residents and Fools Gold label boys, Greenmoney make their way onto what is going to be another night of bass music madness.
Room 2 this time round is being hosted by Better Never Than Late and the highly hyped internet blog have brought down long time friend DJ Slimzee to headline their room. We are running a competition for this room and for a chance to play, check the details below on how to enter.

We’ve got another EarToGround exclusive! This time round we bring you two of the biggest names in new school Techno. We are VERY proud to present …
MIKE DEHNERT (Fachwerk/Delsin)
SHIFTED (Mote Evolver)
GARETH WILD
ANDERSON
KEIRAN JAMES
About Mike …
Berlin-based Dehnert has been releasing music under his own name since 2007, chiefly via his own Fachwerk imprint. Fachwerk has become one of the most trusted techno labels there is, always delivering the club-coshing goods, and acting primarily as a showcase for Dehnert’s productions but also thosae of Sascha Rydell and Roman Lindau.
You can expect the same serious dance floor damage that he delivered recently to a packed Berghain with one of his legendary Live sets. The sound system at East Village is in for a serious work out!
About Shifted …
Shrouded in anonymity, Shifted’s productions are fuelled by a personal passion for techno. A relatively new name on the scene who’s music is being played and charted by likes of Jonas Kopp, James Ruskin, DVS1 and Lucy. His excellent debut EP on Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver has been quickly followed up by way of his newly founded Avian imprint and soon a second EP for Mote.
We hope you are as excited as us to have them come and play !
A strictly limited amount of pre-sale tickets are on sale. Once there gone you’ll have to pay on the door. Ticket holders will hold priority.
DO NOT MISS A BEAT!

Surefire.Sound’s third event in the capital is probably its strongest yet, bringing together a line-up that encompasses many different strands of the continually evolving bass music universe.
Headlining Room One is Shackleton, one of the most pioneering and forward thinking artists operating within electronic music today. Fresh from delivering his acclaimed Fabric CD as well as new music on Honest Jon’s, he will bring his unique brand of bass heavy atmospherics to the intimate surroundings of Corsica Studios for what will be a very special set indeed. Joining him will be Mark Ernestus, founder and owner of Berlin’s Hardwax record store as well as cutting edge artist in his own right. With Moritz Von Oswald he was responsible for legendary productions as Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound, records that helped shape the sound of dub techno music.
Other artists on the night will include EPROM and DJG, delivering the sounds of west coast America to the heart of the UK, as well as Addison Groove doing his live 808 thang in the Juke Box once more and one extremely special, top secret guest to be announced!

With the amazing Actress (Werk/Honest Jons), Paul Purgas (emptyset/Bodyhammer), Chairman Kato (Pictures Music) LIVE! and Benedict Bull (Skull Juice/BleeD/Phonica).
Cheap drinks, staunch sounds.
More about that banging line-up:
Actress’s second album Splazsh melds heavily compressed house with half-remembered snippets of video games, UK garage and R&B, all soaked in off-kilter techno. Anyone who’s seen him play live will tell you – his beats are tight and his moves are fierce.
Chairman Kato recently released his Wildfire EP on Pictures Music. He’ll be packing a lot of chubstep beats into a short but intense improvised set. His first live set ever, we’ve seen a sneak preview, and this will be insanely good.
Paul Purgas, of experimental techno outfit Emptyset and the underground jackfest that is Bodyhammer, is playing the final set. We’re not sure what – possibly some rabid breed of chicago acid, detroit techno, electronica and house.
Benedict Bull of Skull Juice, one of our absolute favourite DJs, is possibly integrating his walkman into the mix … technological tomfoolery or no his records are ridiculously good and we’re dead chuffed he’ll be playing for two hours.
Release/The Fez is at 23 Lewisham Way, a short walk from New Cross, New Cross Gate, and a ton of bus stops. N21 for London Bridge, 453/ N130/ N89 /N171 West End, 36 West London.

To mark the launch of the label and CD STRUC01CD STRUCTURE hosts a night of BASS ELECTRONICS & NOISE at the basement space, The Drop.
8pm – Late (£5 entry)
LIVE: SPPP (Shelley Parker + Paul Purgas)
FILTER FEEDER
ZERO POINT ENERGY
DJ SETS: Shelley Parker/ Paul Purgas (Emptyset/Bodyhammer)
FILTER FEEDER performs a one-off jacking 4/4 techno set of analogue squelch and improvised dub. His live set up includes self-built processed instruments alongside vintage analogue drum synths. He has released on Structure & the excellent experimental imprint Entr’acte. http://www.entracte.co.uk/
Art duo SPPP (Shelley Parker & Paul Purgas) have performed at Whitstable Biennale, Old Vic Tunnels and Frieze Art Fair. For their Structure set they will play a live set of heavily processed found sounds, digital drone and analogue distortion using an array of customized analog kit. http://www.sppp.co.uk/
ZERO POINT ENERGY & Noise = Noise head honcho works with self made instruments focusing on the stripped down physicality of live interactive performance referencing hypnosis, DIY culture & noise. He is perfoming a special live set using a customised tv and strobes. http://ryanjordan.org/
DJ’s Paul Purgas (Emptyset/Bodyhammer) & Shelley Parker will join the dots in between playing everything from old school hardcore to acid to minimal bass techno.

Vikings @ The Shacklewell Arms, Dalston
May 26th
10.30 – 5am
Joe And Will Ask
With special guest – Kiwi
Joe and Will Ask’s much lauded Vikings night is moving to The Shacklewell Arms, Dalston – a joint venture between members of Field Day, Pub on the Park and Eat Your Own Ears. And after another amazing Vikings (many have been saying the best yet), Joe And Will Ask are very excited to announce that their next guest will be Kiwi.
“Alex (Kiwi) has been a good friend of ours for a while, and he completely blew us away with his last couple of DJ sets. We decided to go to the studio with no plan and just to have some fun, and for some reason this Moloko track came up. We absolutely love it, and had wanted to do a version of the track that we could play out for ages but never found the right way to do it, but after a couple of hours with Alex, we had pretty much nailed it! We wanted to keep as much of the original as possible while giving it the open-air summer roof party sort of feel with the bassline.
“Vikings” is fast becoming a techno institution, packed to the rafters with bright young things. Brought to you by dance music pioneers Joe and Will Ask and taking place on the final Thursday of each month, the duo will be bringing the best of the quirky, melodic dance music that they have become so well known for.
With Vikings you can guarantee a few things; the line up will be major, the atmosphere electric and the night itself will be memorable. Having brought the likes of Boy 8 Bit, Matt Wlash, Bowski, Eskimo Twins & Coin Operated Boy to the intimate surroundings of The Russian Bar, Vikings always provides some riotous tomfoolery.

Socialeyes return with one of their biggest, most interesting, boundary pushing and fun line ups yet!
Created in 2006 from the Groovepressure & Groove Pleasure labels the Socialeyes parties have been popping up for one-off nights in and around London until finding their home at Corsica studios in 2010. They have hosted a broad spectrum of quality electronic guests from Funk D Void to Bar9, Terry Francis to Elite Force, Ben Sims to Max Cooper and always pushing open-minded, forward thinking electronic dance music on the best quality sound systems in intimate fun spaces. That is their ethos.
On Saturday 28th May they celebrate their 5th birthday party and one year to the weekend since their first party at Corsica Studios.
Socialeyes is not restricted to one genre, the emphasis is quite simply on ‘good’ music. So on Saturday 28th May you’ll find two rooms, one for house, techno, disco & electro and the other for dubstep, breaks, beats & bass.

After the massive Modeselektion London party Black Atlantic now hosts two of their favourite artists on the planet; Moodymann and Joy Orbison, once again connecting the dots between eras and figures. This is the first time the pair of them have appeared on the same bill here in the UK.
The venue is once again secret for now but check the Black Atlantic facebook and twitter page for updates: www.facebook.com/blackatlantic & www.twitter.com/black_atlantic…

Starting our new venture at Plan B- Brixton, one of the most talked about venues in south London- Regulate plan to attack your chest with a bass fuelled night, packed with DJ’s from all sides of the dubstep spectrum all on the infamous Funktion 1 sound system. Whatever form of bass music you’re into Regulate as always, caters for you. Sound good? Well you haven’t even heard the line-up ye
London Ivy and Madness Promotions return for the second, eagerly anticipated return of ‘Emissions’. Once again we indulge in a hard dance / hard style collaboration with some of London’s finest, most enthusiastic proponents of the scene.
Drawing on the success of our previous outing back in January, we have the pleasure of announcing the return of BSE as well as a host of recognizable faces from the Zoology / Club 414 camp, attempting to recreate and improve upon the vibe and energy we captured last time round.
Via Ivy Productions we once again reinforce The Black Sheep Bar with additional sound system, powered by Turbosound / Martin Audio. Extra LED and intelligent lighting, lazers and UV decorations make this a Spring spectacular that you cannot afford to miss!
Expect contamination of senses; an overwhelming sonic assault; immense bass pressure; fierce industrial sounds; noxious, hypnotic beats; an alternative musical direction and an open, friendly atmosphere. Help us go pandemic!
