Eric Prydz presents EP/IC
& many more to be announced
Historically, dance music has pushed boundaries with visual and aural experiences that go far beyond mere pyrotechnics, confetti, and video walls. It’s time the genre looked to the future once again….
2011 will see the launch of a new show concept from Eric Prydz that will place electronic music back at the forefront of technological innovation. Utilising groundbreaking new technologies Prydz’ new ‘EP/IC’ show sits neatly at the meeting point between cutting edge music and technology.
The world premiere of ‘EPIC’ will take place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday 2 April. The show features a unique 30 metre structure that extends from the stage out into the crowd (with a build time of 3 days). It will also see one of the first uses of holograms in a live music show environment, in addition to 3D animation and film that is mapped onto the sets moving and static structures. All video content for the show is designed specifically for the intricate projection surfaces.
Prydz has commissioned (and funded) the show himself. He approached production company Immersive with a brief around the concept of ‘The Man Made In Nature’, juxtaposed with ‘How Nature Influences The Man Made’. The result is a multi-faceted visual show and a vehicle for Prydz’ music. ‘EP/IC’ will exclusively feature Prydz’s own material (under his various guises including Prydz and Cirez D) and will be the trigger for all the show’s visual elements. Award-winning VJ, Ralph Lambert, will control the visual side of the event using the groundbreaking Addict Show Control System.
To receive event and ticket information for EP/IC before anyone else register now via www.locknloadevents.com/epic. Fans who register before 31st December will receive a unique voucher to download two free tracks of their choice from the Pryda and Mouseville back catalogues!

After welcoming in the New Year with an unforgettable event at the world famous O2 Academy Brixton, Together is back. Mark Ronson, Annie Mac, Katy B, Fake Blood, Caspa, Herve, Zinc and co were just a few names on a mouth-watering line-up that made Together the hottest ticket in town. With 2011 no fully underway we are ready to announce our first event of the year; hosted under London Bridge’s illustrious arches at Cable. Boasting an incredible soundsystem, an underground experience and intimate vibe, Cable is without doubt one of our favourite venues in London. So who’s on the bill we hear you ask? Well we’re delighted to showcase another spectacular lineup featuring a who’s who of the hottest names in the scene…
Sharp, talented, original, streetwise, outspoken and opinionated, Ms Dynamite is the first lady of UK hip hop. Since bursting onto the scene with UK garage act So Solid Crew, she landed the prestigious Mercury Music Prize in 2002 for her first album ‘A Little Deeper’, before her second album ‘Judgement Days’ hit our airwaves in 2005. After taking a break from music, Ms Dynamite returned to action in 2010 with tracks like ‘Wile Out’ and ‘Light’s On’. Taking in shows up and down the country, this underground MC turned British music princess, is set to perform in London once again, when we welcome her to Cable for Together.
A massive coup for Together, we present the first ever show of Drums of Death and Mumdance aka Mumdance. Having electrified dancefloors worldwide over the last couple of years, Mumdance draws inspiration from Grime, UK funky, American Baltimore Gutter, Afro-beat, High life, and Latin ghetto music. Drums Of Death emerged from London’s club scene in early 2008. Whilst keeping his real face a secret with black and white paint, he performs to thousands around the world. In addition he has delivered killer remixes of the likes of Kele, Fenech Solar, Hot Chip, Franz Ferdinand, Drop The Lime, Alphabeat and Mika. A set that has certainly got tongues wagging, we cannot wait to see Mums of Death!
Sin City label supremo and Kiss FM radio show host, Hatcha is one of the Godfathers of dubstep. With nearly 20 years of DJ experience under his belt, Hatcha has gone on to DJ all over the world whilst releasing productions on some of the genres leading labels. He mixed the very first ‘Dubstep Allstars’ compilation and was the first DJ to host a commercial radio show playing only dubstep (on Kiss FM alongside Crazy D). His Sin City label and events alongside fellow pioneer N Type, have helped firmly cement his name in the history and progression of the scene and in a real stamp of integrity, Together is privileged to welcome Hatcha.
Girl Unit makes his debut at Together as a name recognised on the lists of clubbers as ‘one to watch’. Girl Unit started putting out mixes as Girl U No Its True in 2006, starting off with playing Miami Bass, Electro, Ghettotech and Chicago House tracks. Having expanded upon these genres ever since to create a more contemporary house sound, things have recently come full circle and now his productions are revisiting the Detroit/Chicago 808 sounds that originally interested him. With releases forthcoming on Night Slugs and remixes on the horizon for Silverback Recordings, Hemlock, Numbers, 679 and Sony, Girl Unit is one hot property indeed.
Expect massive beats, low frequency vibes and one hell of a party as Together welcomes the Deadly Rhythm Soundsystem. The DJ crew from South London specialise in bringing together the most exciting and ground breaking producers for their Deadly Rhythm showcases. Recent guests include Four Tet, Scuba, James Blake, Jamie Woon, Loefah and Space Dimension Controller. Their music policy effortlessly glides between dubstep, garage, house, 2step and techno, resulting in a melting pot of forward thinking sounds. An outstanding addition to the Together lineup at Cable, we cannot wait to hear what they have in store for us!

On the 8th April 2011, TROUBLE VISION invites you to its latest installment. After a rather tasty label showcase for Simple Records we’re well and truly back into the swing of things and, as per usual, we’ve pulled out all the stops.

After a short break, Reggae Roast returns to The CAMP Basement for another late-night roots gathering, welcoming very special guests; the legendary Trojan Records Sound System. The last 6 months have seen packed out dances, with a host of the UKs best Reggae talent playing pounding riddims and conscious lyrics through the 20k city, arts & music project sound system.
Foundation Reggae, old and new is the trade of the mighty Trojan Sound System. Formed in 2004 of London sound system legends like selector Earl Gateshead and Daddy Ad and vocalists Superfour plus Chucky Banton, they represent the label in England and throughout the world.
Earl Gateshead began deejaying in Brixton in 1979 and has received eorldwide recognition for his 20 year residencies at The Dive Bar, Blue Note and Plastic People. Gateshead worked as a selector and MC with Cutty Ranks, Big Youth, Dr. Alimantado or Dennis Alcapone. The Sound System’s vocalists Superfour and Chucky Banton have twenty years of experience as members of the great south London sound systems: Taurus, Sir Coxsone and Saxon. Legendary recording artists including Lee Perry, Tippa Irie, Dillinger, Horace Andy and Gregory Isaacs have all worked with the Trojan Sound System, making them on of the most revered crews in the UK. We are very much looking forward to a killer 2-hour set from the full Trojan crew, including Mr Yeah Yeah! Earl Gateshead, Daddy Ad, Superfour & Chucky Banton.
Also playing on the night will be founders of Reggae Roast Moodie & Exel and resident selector; Dub Hunter. This months session will be hosted by the one and only; MC Ishu. Expect to hear the freshest selection of classic Revival, Dub, Steppers & Dubstep as well as forthcoming dubplates from the Reggae Roast Records imprint.
This is set to be another lively dance, showcasing the best London has to offer in Reggae and Dub. Reggae Roast’s monthly residency continues to promote the strength of real roots music and provides for the demand for a conscious club night. As always this event is only £5 before 11pm and capacity is limited to 250 so arrive early for guaranteed entry.

United by the recent tragic events in Japan, The Centrifuge & Splutter team up once again to host an evening of altruism and cutting-edge electronic music in the newly refurbished Islington Metal Works (aka Elektrowerkz). We’ve assembled a world-class lineup of musicians and artists to help us raise as much for charity as possible.
Electronic music legend and “Jimi Hendrix of the TB-303″ Mike Dred aka The Koskmik Kommando is heading up the lineup (check R&S, Replex and his own Machine Code for his expansive back catalogue) is heading up the main room lineup, closely followed by reformed drum n bass experimentalists Icarus who have recently remixed Caribou and Eclectic Method and are embarking on a UK tour this summer. Luke’s Anger promises to deliver his rave fuelled analogue techno, Monster X, Point B and Schemeboy are also geared up to pump out their own brand of broken beats of varying ferocity.
In the courtyard our Centrifuge and Splutter DJs and friends are on hand to fill the room with their latest beats and we’re also pleased to announce that infamous street artist Stik is involved – known for his endearing humanoid stick characters currently endemic around London streets and art happenings.

Red Bull Music Academy & Deadly People are excited and proud to present one of the biggest and most diverse DJs in the world right now, DIPLO, at one of London’s favourite venues, Koko.
…
Diplo is a true 21st Century artist, producer, icon and genre-hopping DJ. Behind the decks, he effortlessly glides from electro to baile funk, dubstep to punk and beyond. Meanwhile, collaborating with Switch, he’s turned festivals and warehouses upside down with their futuristic dancehall live act, Major Lazer.
His remix and production credits are truly awesome. Britney Spears, MIA, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hot Chip, Gwen Stefani and Sleigh Bells are just a few of the artists to have been given the Diplo studio treatment.
But, it’s as a brilliant DJ that he’ll be performing on Thursday 28th
April.
It’s a public holiday on the Friday thanks to the Royal Wedding, so what better way to start the party!
