The Plump DJs make their much anticipated return to London on Saturday 12th February with a fresh project at the Capital’s most exciting new venue XOYO. Hosted in conjunction with South West Four and Together promoters Lock N Load Events, Grand Hotel at XOYO will be an extension of the Plumps highly acclaimed record label and feature a lineup handpicked by the guys themselves.
The past twelve months has been another insane year for Lee and Andy. Grand Hotel records launched with massive tracks from the Plumps, Bonsai Kat and Dirty Super Car. Furthermore they have continued to play earth shattering gigs across the four corners of the globe as they stamp their energetic sound on the electronic landscape. Alongside the Plumps, Grand Hotel welcomes the brains behind Cheap Thrills Hervé and the raw, riotous rhythms of Mumdance. A man of many pseudonyms including The Count (with Sinden), Voodoo Chilli, Speaker Junk, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers and Young Lovers, London born electro star Hervé is unquestionably a generation defining producer. 2010 witnessed Hervé lock horns in the studio with none other than Fatboy Slim (on the excellent ‘Machines Can Do The Work’) whilst his label continues to set the pace.
Jack Adams aka Mumdance has been responsible for causing serious waves in the past couple of years though his unique sound that draws influence from grime, UK funky, Brazilian funk, Afro-beat and Latin ghetto music. Championed by tastemakers including Diplo, Annie Mac, Sinden and Switch, Mumdance’s stray away from the norm has provided him with a hectic DJ schedule which criss-crosses the globe from Australia to Mexico, North America, to Europe and all over the UK.
